youngerpeople.3.比较级也可用于“the+比较级+the+比较级”结构。该结构意为“越……，就越……”。

e.g.ThemoreIthoughtaboutit,thelessIlikedtheidea.4.表示“最高级含义”的比较级结构：

①“比较级+thananyother...”意为“比其他任何一个……都……”；

②not,never之类的否定词与形容词或副词的比较级连用也可表示最高级含义，意为“再没有比……更……的了”。

e.g.TheGreeksspendmoremoneyonfoodthananyothernationinEurope.Ihaveneverreadabetternovel.5.“no+比较级+than”和“notmore+比较级+than”的区别：“no+比较级+than”结构表示对两个比较对象都进行否定（可用neither...nor...结构来改写）；“notmore+比较级+than”结构表示在程度上前者不如后者。e.g.Kittyisnomorecapable(有能力的)ofspeakingChinesethanLucy.=NeitherKittynorLucycanspeakChinese.Thiscoatisnotmoreexpensivethanthatone.=Thiscoatislessexpensivethanthatone.6.形容词或副词的比较等级可用于以下结构来表达倍数：

①倍数+as+形容词/副词的原级+as...；

②倍数+形容词/副词的比较级+than...；

③倍数+the+名词（如：size,height,weight,length,width等）+of...。e.g.Polly’shouseisthreetimesas
