1、 湘少版五年级英语下册 Unit 5 Who was first? 第一课时教学目标:1 知识与能力目标:(1)能够听懂、会说、会用序数词first, second, thirdtenth;能够听懂、会说单词last, race, a one-hundred metre race, sports, Sports Day;(2)能够听懂、会说、会用句型Who was first? . was first;(3)能在生活中运用所学开展交际活动;(4)能在教师的帮助下理解教材文本内容。2 过程与方法目标: (1)提高和发展学生的听说能力;(2)激发学生的学习兴趣;(3)培养学生的交际能力与创新精神。

2、3情感与态度目标: 培养学生的团队合作精神和良性竞争的意识。教学重点: 新单词和句型的理解与掌握,课文的正确理解;教学难点: 1.描述课文内容;序数词的用法。 2.英语听、说、读能力的培养与提高。教学用具: 多媒体课件、教学图片、单词卡、笑脸贴画等教学方法:教法:情境教学法、听说法、任务型教学法等。学法:小组学习法。教学过程: StepWarming up 1. Greetings.(1) Sing an English song Ten little Indian boys.【设计意图】 本班学生很喜欢唱歌,所以我利用多媒体播放英文歌曲Ten little Indian boys的视频 ,并

3、配上一些简单的动作,为学生营造轻松、愉快的课堂氛围,学生学习英语激情高涨,学生快速进入学习状态。(2) T: Good morning, boys and girls. Ss: Good morning, Miss Song. T: Nice to meet you. Ss: Nice to meet you, too. 2. Free talk. T: Today Im very happy. Are you happy, too? Ss: Yes. T: There are 8 groups in our class: Group 1, Group 2, Group 3 . and Gro

4、up 8. Today, lets have a competition. If you are the first, I will give you a smile face(出示笑脸贴纸),OK? Ss: OK.【设计意图】利用小学生好胜的心理,安排小组竞赛,让课堂气氛更活跃,让学生参与里更强。3. Revision.1Show the numbers on the screen and let Ss read them.2) Show some telephone numbers and let Ss read them.3) Ask some questions .【设计意图】通过所学

5、基数词的复习,给所学序数词做好铺垫,更好地区分二者之间的区别。4. Play a game. T: I like English and I like sports, too. Lets play a game Do as I say. Now please stand up. For example, I say “swim”, you should do it like this.(示范) Are you clear? Ss: Yes. T: Run / Jump / Swim / Play basketball / Play football / Play computer games

How many girls in the race? Lets count.T and Ss: One, two, three, four.T: Who was first

What does “first” mean?Teach the new wordfirst and write it on the Bb.Show “first-1st” on the Bb .T: Who was first?Ss: Li Xiaohua was first.(板书)Then teach “second,third,fourth,last” like this

8、way.3.Show “six,seven,eight,nine,ten”on the screen,then let Ss change them into the Ordinal Numbers.4.Show a pithy formula on the screen.基数词变序数词的规律:一二三,特殊记 first, second and third,八去t,九去e,ve要用f替, 词尾加上th.5.Let Ss remember the pithy formula.6. Read the new words: first-tenth(1)Let the Ss read the new

9、words after the teacher in a high or low voice. ( 2)Let the Ss read the new words together 3 times.7.Play a game: Whats missing?8.Have a competition.Do exercise on the screen.【设计意图】教师运用多媒体课件把学生参加一百米运动会的读片展示出来,将B部分生词逐一教授,学生兴趣高,学得快。用课件或单词卡片将本课单词用升、降调带读单词,纠正发音。 Step Practice1.
