Complicated structure of gerund 形容词性物主代词或名词所有格加动名词构成动名词复合结构 形容词性物主代词或名词所有格是动名词的逻辑主语,在句中可作主语、宾语和表语 1. Marys coming late made her teacher quite angry. 2. Do you mind my smoking? 3. We are looking
30、 forward to the professors coming to speak to us. 注:在口语中,如果这种结构的名词作宾语,往往不用所有格,而用普通格,代词用宾格不用物主代词。 在英语中,有一些词既可以用动名词也可以用不定式做宾语,意义差别不大。它们有:like, love, begin, start, continue, propose等。 (1).
