1、Unit 8 When is your birthday?一、单元教材分析本单元主要学习日期的表达方式。本单元主要围绕“谈论日期”这一话题开展听、说、读和写的学习活动,学习序数词的构成以及运用序数词表示日期的方法;学会运用when 引导的特殊疑问句询问日期;通过学习能掌握英语表达年、月、日的单词和句型,能够熟练地谈论各种有关日期的话题。此外,还要学习名词所有格( 's 所有格 ) 的构成和使用;学习询问表达年龄的句型。能够询问及表达一些常见的节日的日期。二、单元学情分析本单元的主题是询问和谈论日期,围绕这一主题进行一系列的交际活动,使学生掌握日期的表达法,正确使用when 引导的特殊疑

2、问句对日期进行询问。在学习日期的表达法时要先学习序数词的构成,学生在以前的课程里已经学习了基数词,对于两种数词之间的区别一定会令学生感到头痛,教师要引导学生运用对比的方法,找出构成规律,总结特殊变化,对比强化记忆。三、单元教学建议采用自主学习、小组合作探究、Classifying , Contrasting 和 Role playing 的学习策略,利用教学图片、幻灯片、实物( 大挂历、日历) 或制作课件( 反映月份特征,课内外活动) 等来展开课堂教学、Pairwork 问答式的口语交际活动或游戏等小组活动,进行 “询问和谈论日期”的课堂教学和练习。本单元的教学法建议:语音教学 让学生进行模仿

3、操练;词汇教学 采取情景介绍或演示对比的方式进行教学,让学生在情境中操练、理解含义并学会运用;口语教学 采取 pairwork 问答式的口语交际活动或游戏等小组活动互相操练;听力教学 采取图文配对和对话选择的方式;写作教学 以填词、回答问题、写简单的短文为主;语法教学 总结规律、抓住特征、模仿操练。四、单元课时分配本单元可用4 课时完成教学任务:Section A 1 (1a-2e) 用 1 课时Section A 2 (Grammar focus-3c) 用 1 课时Section B 1 (1a-2c) 用 1 课时Section C 2 (3a-Self check) 用 1 课时Sec

20、ay 2nd.月份 + 序数词 ”,月份为专有名词,首字May 2nd( 5月 2 日)是日期的表达法。表达具体日期通常为 母必须大写、书写时日期可以是序数词,也可以是基数词。如:6 月 8 日June 8th 或June 88 月 3 日August 3rd 或 August 3 拓展 英语中表示具体年、月、日的方式通常有两种:“月 + 日 + 年 ”或 “日 + 月 + 年 ”。 年份要用逗号隔开。如:2014 年 9 月 9 日可表达为:September 9th, 20149th September, 20143. 21、介词用on;若只有年、月就用介词in。如:on May 22nd 在 5 月 22 日in October 在 10 月in 2012 在 2012年2) 该句中的it 用来代指时间。如:It ' s August 1st today今天是 8月 1 日。It ' s six o ' clock no椒在是 6 点钟。 归纳 it 还可以代指上文中提到的单数名词(事物)。如: What s this in English?这个用英语怎么说?It ' s a cup.这是一个茶杯。4. Happy birthday! 生日快乐!句中的 happy 用于表达祝愿。回

22、答时一般用Thank you! 。 如:一Happy Teachers ' Dty师节快乐! Thank you. 谢谢。拓展happy还可以用作形容词,意为高兴的,愉快的“相当于glad。如:She has a happy party.她过了一个愉快的聚会。5. How old are you?询问及回答年龄。how old 意为 “多大年纪;几岁”,引导特殊疑问句询问年龄。其句型结构为“How old + be + 主语 ?”答语通常为"主语 + be +基数词+ years old”,其中years old可以省略。如: How old is your cousin?

23、表姐多大了? She s thirteen (years old). 她 13 岁了。 How old are your grandparents?你爷爷奶奶多大岁数了? They re eighty.他们八十岁了。6. At three this afternoon.介词at意为 在”,在本句中表示时间,其后一般跟表示钟点的词。如:at 6:00 在 6点 at 7:15 在 7点 15分 辨一辨 表示时间的介词at, in 与 on(1) at 常用于时刻前或一些固定的习惯用语中。如:at 9:00 在 9 点钟at noon 在中午(2) in 用在月份、季节、年份等前面,也可以表示“在
