5、es with the photos and tell their occupations.Step two(第二步) Pre-reading Tasks:1、From the pictures, try to guess the relationship between Charles M.Schultz and Snoopy and get more information about Charles M.Schultz by completing a profile. 2、Try to guess what the story is about. 6、lysis of the Structure of Text: 1、Read the text as quickly as possible, finish the comprehension excises part A on page 128.2、Summarize the text with one or two sentences.3、Ask students to divide the text into three parts according to three key words and three questions I provide. 7、arkys performance in school? According to the teachers and classmates, is Sparky an intelligent student in studies? Interest: what is Sparkys interest? How many times was Sparky rejected with his works? Success: did he gain the success finally? Step four(第四步)Analysis of Language Points1、In-class act

8、ivities: Divide students into three groups which are named by three key words of each paragraph: school、interest、success. Ask each group to read text, especially the part that corresponds to each group and voice the difficult words and structures they find in each paragraph.2、Teachers Explanation of

9、 language points:Part one: 1、 School: a place or an institution someone can acquire knowledge, for educating children学校It also means the process of being educated in a school上学,学习,学业For example: go to school 上学 Are you still at school? 你还在上学吗?2、Fail: 考试不及格 not pass the exam : fail sth/fail in sth/fa

10、il to do sth : She fail the driving test. 她驾驶测试不及格。She fail in the driving test.She fail to pass the dirving test.失败 If you dont work hard, you will fail.3、Flunk: I would like you to guess the meaning of flunk according to the context. At least you can know this word flunk have the similar meaning t

11、o fail. We can also say she flunked the driving test. But flunk is also a little different from fail. Compared with fail, flunk is informal and colloquial. 4、Do well in 在。方面做的好 do better in 在。方面做的更好 much 是用来修饰形容词better。Much is an adverb to modify the adjective. 5、What is the function of “did” here?I

12、s a auxiliary(助动词) verb to put emphasis on the verb “manage”.他倒是加入了I never did like her. 我的确从来没有喜欢过她。I do think so. 我的确是这样想的。I do said it. 我确实这样说过。6、“Getting a grade of zero”is -ing participle phrase used as an adverbial denoting an accompanying circumstance. 现在分词短语作伴随状语:同一个主语发出一个动作时又伴随有某一种状态, 非谓语动词
