1、Unit 4 when is Easter 第一课时一、教学目标1.能够听、说、读、写15序数词及其缩写形式。2能正确询问并回答生日、节日以及活动的具体时间。二、教学重难点1重点:听、说、读、写序数词和具体日期的表达。2难点:序数词的构词法及缩写形式。三、教学准备录音机,多媒体课件,日历表、月份、四季、序数词卡片等。四、教学过程(一)、热身(Warm-up)1. Sing the song The twelve months.2游戏-What's missing?教师出示四季和月份卡片,并快速地隐去其中一张卡片,让学生说出所缺的单词,并拼读此单词,又快又准确者获胜。3让学生一起背诵基数

2、词1到30。4学生一起背诵1到12月份的单词,并快速反应说出其缩写形式。5师生对话。(二)、新课呈现(Presentation)1Let's chant和学生一起朗读chant:2Let's learn(1)教师出示一张日历表,问学生:Do you know how many months there are in a year?学生回答:Twelve.教师说:Yes,there are twelve months in a year. And we know January is the first month in a year.让学生理解first的意思,教师板书,带读此

3、单词,并拼写诙词。在first旁写上“lst”告诉学生这是first的缩写形式。 (2)同法教学“second”到“fifth”,同时写出相应的基数词,让学生认真观察,自己归纳总结从基数词到序数词的形变规律。基数词变序数词的口诀:一,二,三,特殊变,八去t,九去e,ve用f来替换,最后再加th。整十去y改ie,然后再加th。序数词的缩写形式 序数词的缩写形式是:阿拉伯数字十序数词词尾的后两个字母lst,2nd,3rd。其余是:阿拉伯数字+th,注意th的发音。(3)教师说:The first month,学生快速反应:January.教师说:February,学生说:The second mo

4、nth.依次操练。(4)教师说:We know the first month is January,but the first day in January is?引导学生回答:January lst. (January the first)向学生解释日期的表达法、:月份十序数词,特别要提醒学生的是朗读时要在序数词前加上定冠词the。(5)借助课件,依次显示15日的日期,让学生用英文表达出来。(6)课件呈现四月份日历,并告诉学生:There are some special days in April.四月份有一些特别的节日。Look! April Fool's Day and Ea

5、ster.教师边说边圈出四月一日和四月五日这两天。然后教师提问:This is the first day of April. April FoolsDay is on April lst. How about Easter? Can you tell me?引导学生回答:It's on April 5th.然后学生跟读,教师板书。跟读完依次显示Let s learn中的日期,让学生试着用英文说出这些日期。(7)学生齐读这些日期。(8)活动:开火车(9)教师播放Let -s learn录音,学生听,然后跟读课文。3Ask and answerT:There are many speci

7、学生猜出所属的节日,教师问学生:When is .Day?学生回答,答对者教师给予加分。然后课件显示全部节日和日期,让学生齐读。 New Year's Day is on Jan. lst. China's National Day is on Oct. lst. Children's Day is on Jun. lst. Tree Planting Day is on Mar. 12th. Teacher-s Day is on Sept. lOth. Easter is on April 5th.最后,教师问:What-s your favourite day?让

9、th five fifth 5th 序数词在使用时,通常前面要加定冠词the;但是如果序数词前出现不定冠词a或an时,则表示“再”“又”。 We'll go over it a second time. 我们得再念第二遍。Weve tried it three times. Must we try it a fourth time? 我们已经试过三遍了,还必须试一次(第四次)吗?另外,基数词也可以表示顺序。只需将基数词放在它所修饰的名词之后即可,不需要添加定冠词。如: the first lesson-Lesson One第一课 the fifth page-Page five第五页t

10、he twenty-first room-Room twenty-one 21号房六、教后反思本节课的重点是序数词的认读。由于我们刚学过英语月份的表达法,因而从复习月份开始,引入序数词比较自然,也符合学生的认知规律。而围绕着操练序数词所设计的各种活动,不仅让学生在模仿实际的情境中巩固了所学的语言知识,而且提高了学生运用序数词来解决实际问题的能力。第二课时一、教学目标1能正确询问并回答节日所在的日期。2能听懂、会说There are some special days in April. 11、难点:掌握节日的具体时间的写法和读法。三、教学准备录音机、多媒体课件、卡片、转盘、年历等。四、教学过程(一)、热身(Warm-up)1开火车:复习日期表达法,如:Jan. lst,Feb. 2nd,Mar. 3rd,Apr. 4th,May 5th. 2活动:话说节日 以问答的形式来盘点各月份的节日以及节日的具体时间。先由教师和学生示范: T:What's your favourite holiday? Sl:New Year's Day. T:When is New Year-s Day? Sl:lt's on January lst.3活动:看图联想节日活动方式:教

12、师出示以下场景,如:复活节兔子、升国旗、儿童在公园玩耍、放鞭炮等,要求学生看图抢答具体的节日。猜对后,全班进行问答练习。如: When is .Day? It's on.(二)、新课呈现(Presentation)1Lets try(1)请学生看图和题目要求,猜一猜录音内容。(2)教师播放录音,学生完成听音选月份的练习。 2Lets talk(1)敖师询问学生:What day is it today?和What month is this?,学生回答后,教师出示4月份的日历说:It's April now. There are some special days in Apr

Please tell me.引导学生说出五月份的重要节日:May Day, Mother-s Day。最后解释special days的中文意思,并带领学生齐读句子:There are some special days in April. There are some special

14、days in May,too.They are April Fool's Day and Easter. They are May Day and Mother's Day.(2)解释in和on的用法区别。 T:Easter is in April. April Fool's Day is in April,too. Easter is on April 5th. April Fool's Day is on April lst. Can you tell me the difference between in and on?引导学生理解“in”用在月份前,

15、“on”用在某一天前。并让学生说出May Day,Mother's Day所在的月份和具体时间。 如:May Day is in May. May Day is on May lst. Mother's Day is in May. Mother's Day is on the second Sunday of May.(3)教学It s onthis year.教师指着五月份第二个星期天对学生说:Its on May llth this year.让学生明白this year的意思,并让学生举一反三。 如:It's on Jan. lst this year.

18、来后,教师说:你们都是同年生的有缘人,请你们互相询问找出谁与你是同年同月同日生的好朋友。问答如下: Sl:My birthday is on January lst. When is your birthday? S2:My birthday is on January 2nd. When is your birthday? S3:My birthday is on January 3rd.接着第三个问第四个,以此类推,直到找到与你同年同月同日生的有缘人为止。找到后说:We are good friends.教师总结:Let's have a birthday party after

20、促进了学生口语能力的发展。第三课时一、教学目标1掌握四会句子:Thursday/Monday is his eleventh/third/fourth birthday.等。2学习归纳字母组合th的两种发音规律,并能读出相关例词。3能听、说、读、写单词three,thin,thirteen,maths,this,that,mother和brother。4能正确区分并使用基数词和序数词,并能在真实的情境中灵活运用。二、教学重难点 1重点:掌握四会句子:Thursday/Monday is his eleventh/third/fourth birthday并能在类似的实际情境中灵活运用。2难点:

21、掌握字母组合th的发音规律,培养学生拼读音标词的能力。三、教学准备录音机、本课时的磁带与本课时的单词卡片和音标卡片。四、教学过程(一)、热身(Warm-up) 游戏:Bingo(二)、新课呈现( Presentation) 1Lets spell (l)Read,listen and chant.教师出示three,thin,thirteen,maths,this,that,mother和brother的图片,要求学生听录音,感知单词发音。教师再次播放录音,请学生认真听,并思考字母组合th在单词中的读音。教师第三次播放录音,请个别同学归纳字母组合th在单词中的读音规则。教师播放录音,学生跟读。

22、学生自读单词,并总结这些单词的拼读规则。拼读擂台教师出示一些没学过的单词,让男生和女生进行PK,根据所学的拼读规律或从学过的单词中迁移,读出这些单词,看谁读得又快又正确。如these, those,them,there, thick, think, things,than.(2)Choose,write and say.活动:句子接龙教师说一句,如:Monday is his first birthday.要求学生改变时间接若往下说。如:Tuesday is his second birthday.以此类推。如:Wednesday is his third birthday. Thursday

23、 is his fourth birthday. Friday is his fifth birthday. Saturday is his sixth birthday.活动:介绍家人和家人的职业如:His mother is a maths teacher. His father is a policeman. This is her brother and that is her grandfather. 最后请学生选择自己喜欢的句子写一写,并和同伴说一说。2Let's wrap it up(1)学生完成Fill in the table.部分的练习,然后核对答案。(2)师强调数

24、词和序数词的不同用法。数词用来表示数量,而序数词用来表示日期等。3Let s check学生完成Listen and number.部分的练习,要求学生认真听,并对下面四个时间进行标号。(三)、巩固与拓展(Consolidation and extension) 活动某月某日记暑假就要来了,两个月的时间你将怎么度过?请你展开想象的翅膀,说一说你“某月某日”要做的事。比一比,谁时间安排得更为合理。如:On July lst,l'll go for a walk. On July 2nd,l'll go swimming. On July 3rd,l'll go shopp

Three thin thirteen maths this that mother brother广闻博知辅音字符th清与浊的两种读音规则 一、当位于词首时,可以从词性上判别其应有的读音 第一类:四种词类th读清音,即国际音标的/e/。1名词:thing, theater, thumb, thunder, the

26、rmos,Thursday 2动词:think, thank, throw, thrive, thicken. 3数词:three, thirteen, thirty, third, thousand. 4形容词:thin, thick, thirsty, thoughtful, thorough.第二类:在以下两种词类th读浊音。1代词:they, them, their, this, these, that, those, there. 2功能词:the,than,then, though,thus,therefore. 二、当位于词尾(或音节之尾)时 1多数是清音。如:bath,brea

27、th,both,cloth,tooth,health,wealth等。 2少数单词读浊音。如:with,smooth等。 三、当位于两个元音之间时 1多数是浊音。如:other,mother,brother,another,father,weather等。 2少数读清音的。如method,nothing,anything,healthy,wealthy等。教后反思词汇是英语学习的瓶颈,拼读教学是突破这瓶颈的方法之一。本课时的语音教学,我利用字母组合的发音规律,教会学生如何科学记忆英语单词,教学效果显著;而拼读擂台活动,既调动了学生的学习积极性,又让学生能够把刚学到的拼读技能,用于实际的学习中去

28、,培养学生的拼读能力。整节课中的每一环节相辅相成,环环相扣,步步深入,符合小学生的认知规律,最大限度地发挥学生的学习能力。第四课时一、教学目标1能够听、说、读、写twelfth,twentieth,twenty-first,twenty-third,thirtieth序数词及其缩写形式。2能正确询问并回答家人生日的具体时间。3学唱歌曲When is your birthday?。二、教学重难点1重点:听、说、读、写序数词及缩写形式。2难点:(1)特殊形式的序数词的拼写:eight-eighth,nine-ninth,twelve- twelfth。(2)表示第几十几的序数词的构词法及缩写形式。

31、ix,seven,eight,nlne,ten,eleven。然后在six,seven,ten,eleven后面加上th,告诉学生6、7、10、11的序数词是在单词后面直接加th,接着提问:How about eight and nine?引导学生说出:eight这个单词是去t加上th,nlne是去e加上th。然后全班一起跟读sixth,seventh,eighth,ninth,tenth,eleventh。(2)教学单词twelfth,twentieth,thirtieth 教师出示卡片twelve和twelfth,边出示边说:Now lets compare the two words.

32、This is twelve and that is twelfth. How to remember them? Listen:一、二、三,单独记;八去t,九除e,ve要用f替,整十基数变序数;先把ty变成tie要是遇到两位数,十位基数个位序,th最后加上去。教师引导学生一边读口诀,一边记忆。(3)活动:手心手背(4)教学twenty- first, twenty-second, twenty-third, thirty- first.教师在黑板上板书twenty-one,twenty-two,twenty-three等,要求学生思考相应的序数词的变化规律。引导学生朗读口诀“要是遇到两位数,

33、十位基数个位序,th最后加上去。”然后要求学生尝试说出twenty-first,twenty-second,twenty-third等序数词。同理教学thirty-first,thirty-second,thirty-third筹。(5)活动:What's missing?教师出示卡片twelfth,twentieth,thirtieth,thirty-first,thirty-second,thirty-third等,并让学生快速地读一遍,然后抽走其中一张问学生:What,s missing?学生回答正确后,请全班拼读该单词。(6)教学日期的缩写形式。教师出示卡片:twentieth

34、,twelfth,thirtieth,twenty-first,twenty-third等,要求学生写出它们的缩写形式。然后老师小结序数词的缩写形式:1st,2nd,3rd为特殊形式,其它的都是阿拉伯数字后加上th。如:20th,12th,30th,21st,23rd(7)教师播放Lets learn录音,学生听,跟读课文。2Look and write要求学生看日历表,写出日期的缩写形式。然后开展俩俩对话活动,一问一答,完成如下练习。如:When is your birthday? My birthday is on March 21st (三)、巩固与拓展(Consolidation an

35、d extension) 1学唱歌曲When is your birthday?。 2活动:请挑选黄道吉日说一说活动方式:学坐根据教师提供的2014年黄道吉日,选择自己喜欢的好日子说一说。 如:May 1st ,May 4th,May 21st ,May 12th,May 20th,May 30th,May 23rd 3活动:画一画,说一说活动方式:学生绘制学校建筑构造简图,标出各功能室及教室的具体位置,并用序数词加以描述。 4活动:制作生日备忘录 活动方式:教师出示二月、四月、八月、十月和十一月的日历,边指边说: October 12th is my grandpa's birthd

36、ay. April 20th is my grandma's birthday. November 30th is my dad's birthday.February 23rd is my mum's birthday. August 21st'is my birthday.(边说边画出以上日期)然后要求学生看着日期说以上句子。最后开展师生问答:T:When is Grandpa's birthday/ Grandma's birthday/ Dad's birthday/Mum's birthday/my birthday?要

38、多的情境,让他们有机会运用学到的语言与他人进行交流。本节课在学完序数词后我设计了“请挑选黄道吉日说一说”这个活动,旨在给学生提供真实的语言交流环境,让他们在交流的过程中,巩固新知。“画一画,说一说”活动,让学生通过画学校建筑图,并用序数词来描述各功能室所在的楼层,再一次让学生在具体的语言环境中体会基数词与序数词的差异,加深对序数词的记忆,取得了较好的教学效果。第五课时一、教学目标1能掌握四会句子:When is your birthday? My birthday is on January lst. What will you do for your mum? I'll cook n

39、oodles for her.并能在实际生活中运用。2能听懂会说句子:Please come then. We can have a birthday party for both of you!二、教学重难点1重点:能运用句子When is your birthday? My birthday is on来了解对方的生日。2难点:(1)掌握其他表达生日的句子,如:That's my mother-s birthday,too!My birthday is on January lst. That's New Year's Day!(2)正确理解Please come

48、 Feb. 14th 比尔·盖茨 1955. Oct. 28th毛泽东 1893. Dec. 26th 富兰克林 1706. Jan. 17th 邓小平 1904. Aug22nd 爱因斯坦 1879. Mar. 14th六、教后反思本课的教学还是围绕日期的表达展开的,在教学过程中,我采取了小组活动等形式指导学生进行单词与句型的操练,同时,“我为家人献爱心”和“寻找和我同生日的明星”等活动,极大地提高了学生的学习兴趣,培养了学生的团队精神,让学生学会合作,学会互助,让学生在同伴的引领下逐渐掌握本课时要求掌握的语言知识,提高了学生运用这些知识进行交际的能力。第六课时一、教学目标 1能理

49、解日记中描述小猫生长过程的句子。2能说出小猫生长变化的时间。3能正确使用be动词、to have句型、can句型来描述动物的变化。4通过观察,能简单描述小动物,以达到学以致用的目的。二、教学重难点1重点:能理解They still can't see. Their eyes are openl They can walk/play with Robin!
