If, nevertheless, one were forced to choose between the two needs, that of humans versus endangered animals, I believe most people would put the needs of humans first. History has shown that the need of humans for land is a natural progression of dev

4、elopment. For instance, in the early days of American history, the government encouraged the early settlers in the east to move out west, to develop the land. Firstly, housing and farmland were created and established, and industry eventually followed. In this case, the American buffalo which roamed

5、 the plains were naturally displaced, as the wild plains on which they lived and grazed gradually disappeared. Another natural progression of development is the rise of increasingly large and crowded urban centers, which exist in most countries. In the mid-1900s one solution utilized in the United S

6、tates was the development of satellite cities or bedroom communities, which were still within commuting distance to the metropolitan areas, allowing people to continue to work in the cities. In the process of this expansion outward, certain endangered animals may have disappeared, along with the dis

7、appearance of the previously virgin land. Sometimes the only, and perhaps even preferable way to save the endangered animals is to put them into a zoo. In short, human needs for farmland, housing and industry is a natural progression of development as well as a result of the expanding population, es

8、pecially in the urban areas. The unfortunate result is sometimes the displacement of animals, including endangered animals which, thus, can still be saved by putting them into a zoo. 问题:2. Someone who plays dangerous sports must be an optimist. They cannot imagine that anything will happen to them. They never think ab

12、out breaking their leg while skiing, falling off a cliff while rock climbing, falling on their head while sky diving. They live for the thrill of the moment without a thought to the many things that could go wrong. Rock climbers and sports car drivers must be fatalist. They might plan for potential

13、problems, but once they have done everything they can do, the outcome is out of their hands. A motorcyclist who jumps across a narrow canyon will get the fastest, strongest bike available that will carry him or her across the canyon. Besides, wind conditions or other problems might interfere and the

14、 cyclist may fall short of his goal. Many people have the same traits of course. Many of us are risk takers, optimists, and fatalists. 17、 Human nature is organized around working during the daytime. Habitually staying up late can cause fatigue-related diseases, such as insomnia. For young people, habitual loss of sleep can negatively affect their growth, causing them to be physically shorter than their peers. Another reason why I pre

18、fer working in the morning is that peoples mental status is at its best right at the beginning of the day, which will in turn help them finish their tasks more efficiently. Studies have shown that when experts tracked a representative sample of the general population, people completed tasks much mor

19、e effectively in the morning than in the evening when assigned the same task. Clearly, people work more efficiently in the morning. Eventually, if the job requires cooperation, working in the morning is more convenient than the evening. For example, if we need to take care of some financial business

20、, how can we achieve this at night with all the banks closed? Consider another scenario. If we need to finish a job in cooperation with others, how can we accomplish it at night when our partners are sleeping? Not all jobs can be completed alone. We do these jobs in the daytime because it is much mo

Second, although a smaller firm may not offer the same level of training and support that a larger firm does, new employees are usually given more responsibi

25、lity and opportunities to grow. What is more, the smaller staff size means they will get more personal attention from senior managers and have more opportunities to demonstrate their skills and advance. There is no doubt that joining a small firm does entail some risk. The company may fail, leaving

26、its employees suddenly jobless. But even if the worst should happen, the employees would have already gained valuable experience that makes them attractive to other employers. Lastly, as a new graduate I believe that this is a proper time in my life to take risks and seek out learning experiences, s
