36、lank) 1.0 scope 1.1 identification this document establishes the system requirements for the mobile electric power plant (mepp). 1.2 document overview this specification establishes the requirements of a mobile, land based, trailer mounted, self contained, diesel powered, electric power plant that s

37、upplies electrical power to aircraft during ground maintenance operations. the unit shall be capable of providing multiple outputs of 115 vac, three phase, 400 hz; 28 vdc; and 270 vdc. 2.0 applicable documents 2.1 general if a conflict exists between this specification and any other document specifi

38、ed herein, this specification takes precedence. in those instances within this specification, where commercial and military specifications and standards are indicated as “guidance only”, the contractor is given latitude in equipment selection, material selection, component selection, etc. this in no

55、al practice the mobile electric power plant hereafter referred to as the mepp or unit shall meet the best commercial and military practices for aircraft ground support equipment in accordance with (iaw) sae arp 1247, sae arp 5015 and sae as 8090 unless otherwise specified. 3.2 characteristics 3.2.1

57、ics and figure 1 - provide mepp functions functional flow diagram 3.2.1.1.1 perform built-in-test mepp-fcn-0002 the diagnostic system shall perform a self-test when startup is initiated. once the diagnostic system determines the unit is functioning properly, the unit will then be permitted to comple

58、te the start-up cycle. the order in which parameters are checked shall be such that false fault indications are avoided. faults detected during the start-up self-test shall cause the activation of a prominent fault indicator and a fault record to be created and stored in memory. pressing the start-r

59、eset switch will cause the self-test to be repeated. the unit will not be permitted to start without a successful self-test. 3.2.1.1.2 provide maintenance power mepp-fcn-0003 the unit shall be capable of providing the following outputs under all operating conditions specified herein. 3.2.1.1.2.1 out
