I am always deeply attracted by the fascinating financial market and enjoy the uncertainty and challenges in it. I love challenges and want to devote myself to the financial market. In order to study further on finance and to become a high-quality financial talented person, I am looking forward to joining in HSBC School of Business which I have always been dreaming for. Education Background Thanks to the hard work I do in my undergraduate years, I perform well in my study (the ranking in the major is 1/101) and have acquired a systemic knowledge of economics and finance. The main curriculums we studied includes: Mathematical Analysis, Higher Algebra, Theory of Probability, Economics (micro and macro), C+ Programming, Investments, Corporate Finance, Derivative Financial Instruments, Financial Risk Management, Fixed Income Securities, Financial Economics, Econometrics, etc. The grades I got in math and specialized courses are all higher than 90 points.Im good at English (especially reading and listening) and familiar with the relevant professional vocabularies. I passed the CET4 (633) and CET6 (556). Academic AbilitiesI am interested in financial research and financial market so I have a strong desire to apply what Ive learned to practice. I visit the Financial Time website every day to keep pace with the dynamics of the economy and the capital market. I read the latest researches on Chinese Financial Research Network frequently. Moreover, I know about the latest academic achievements of teachers via the Financial Academic Salon held by our school, which inspires me a lot in securities investment, asset pricing, financial derivativesand so on.In addition, I am a major player in our National University Student Innovation Program, our subject, The relationship between income gap, social fairness and enterprise performance - empirical evidence from the state-owned listed companies, is under way.I also write an original paper titled Empirical Study on the Price Discovery Function of China Stock Index Futures, through which I master the basic research method and have a deeper understanding of the capital market. Campus experience and social practice I used to be a member of The Red Cross in our school, and organized many charity activities such as China Marrow Donor Program, Peer education, etc. As a volunteer, I have a sense of accomplishment when helping others. Besides, I took part in some competitions like Management Consulting Competition, CIMA 2012 Global Business Challenge and so on to improve my individual ability as well as teamwork skills. Meanwhile, some social practice gives me the chance to know more about the market. For example, I did an internship in the China Construction Bank as a lobby manager. Research PlanAfter taking my personal preference and the prospect of the financial market （There is a large-scale financial reform in China and the development of our domestic financial derivatives market is accelerating）into consideration, I plan to study further on securities investment (especially portfolio management) and financial engineering. In order to make more progress during my postgraduate study, I make a rough study & research plan as follow: Firstly, Ill learn every basic course and specialized course in a very serious way and try my best to master the research tool. Secondly, Ill try to widen my knowledge by taking some alternative courses or self-study. As for academic research, Ill focus on the selected professional direction and devote myself into the research and practical applications under the guidance of my tutor. Finally, Ill write some academic papers to present my research achievements. Career PlanningI want to devote myself to Chinas capital market and to maximize the utility of what I learned.
