And students should answer the questions: Whats wrong with Tom?What did the doctor say to him?Summarize the students answers to lead into the teaching aim: giving advice to help others solve problems. We can use the modals “should, could, shouldnt” to make suggestions.2.play a game:Introduction: in this game, students will work like a doctor, trying to give right advice to the “patients”. Directions: Ask 4 students to act 4 different situations: catch a cold; have a bad sleep; have a sore throat ; want to be stronger and taller. Divide other students into groups of two . Each group can choose a “patient” to treat by drawing lots. One person act the doctor to give advice, the other act the assistant of the doctor to write down the doctors advice.Ask some different pairs to show their advice , write down useful suggestions on the Bb.Having a cold: a.
