亟堂僮迨窒体裁理论与阅读理解学科专业：英语语言文学指导教师：吴欣教授研究方向：应用语言学研究生：熊小柳( $ 2 0 0 3 4 4 5 )内容摘要近二十年来，体裁和体裁分析已成为第一和第二语言教学领域里的热门话题。随着体裁和体裁分析理论的发展，体裁的研究已大大超越了文学及修辞学的范畴，转而将其与心理学、社会学和语言学结合起来，朝着更深的层次发展。体裁理论被广泛应用于英语语言教学( e l t ) 、英语作为外语的教学( e f l ) 、专业英语( e s p ) 、学术英语( 勘婶) 、科技英语( e s t ) 等领域，并逐步形成了一种被称之为“以体裁为基础的教学法”，即“体裁教学法”。该教学方法在美国和澳大利亚等地已非常盛行。它建立在语篇的体裁分析基础上，即把体裁和体载分析理论自觉运用到课堂教学中，围绕语篇的图式结构开展教学活动。目前，这种方法主要被应用到写作教学中，并取得显著效果，然而对其在阅读中的研究还非常有限。因此，如何从体裁的角度进行阅读教学是一个值得研究的问题。本文旨在研究体裁理论并初步探索其在阅读中的应用。全文包括以下五章：第一章对本研究进行了一个基本介绍。第二章详尽论述了体裁理论的基本框架。首先对比分析了体裁理论研究领域里三个主要流派e s p 学派、新修辞学派和澳大利亚学派对体裁的不同界定。每个学派对体裁的定义都有自己鲜明的特点，但其本质上是一致的，其共同之处体现在以下三个方面：( 1 ) 交际目的决定体裁的存在；( 2 ) 体裁是为其所有者所共同遵守的社交工具：( 3 ) 随着文化因素或语篇变量的不同，属于同一体裁的语篇之间仍然存在某些差异。接着介绍了体裁分析的发展历程和理论基础。应用语篇分析经过语域分析，语法修辞分析，交际分析三个阶段发展到体裁分析。前三种分析模式是在内容摘要v从表层分析逐步向深层分析发展，但总的说来，它们基本上还是停留在对语篇进行表层描写的阶段，因为他们都无法回答这样一个关键的问题：人们在创作特定语篇时为什么都倾向于这样而不是那样遣词造句和谋篇布局? 体裁分析恰恰能够回答这个问题。它超越了对语篇语言特征的简单描述，力求解释语篇建构的理据，探讨语篇结构背后的社会文化因素和心理认知因素，揭示实现交际目的的特殊方式和语篇建构的规范性。因此，与前三种描述性分析方法相比，体裁分析最为显著的特点就在于它的解释性。最后讨论了三个流派所采用的教学方法及其在教学实践中各自的优缺点。第三章主要讨论阅读的相关理论。首先阐释了阅读理解的性质，理解的层次，并对中国大学的阋读现状进行了分析。接着回顾了阅读理解中常用的模式，包括自下而上模式，自上而下模式，交互模式和图式理论，并从理论上探讨了这些模式的局限性，即他们都忽视了语篇的宏观结构，忽视了语篇的社会功能和交际目的，因此学生难以获得真实的交际能力。第四章作者试图将体裁理论应用于阅读理解。首先阐明了体裁理论在阅读中的重要性，并就体裁、图式与阅读理解的关系进行分析，从理论上探讨将体裁理论运用到阅读中的可行性。接着运用体裁分析的方法分析了五种常见的体裁，包括新闻报道、社论、出版商的书籍短评、论文摘要和论文引言，并为每种体裁提供了样本分析。然后介绍了体裁教学法的教学过程，并在此基础上提出了自己的基于体裁教学法的教学模式。最后分析了体裁教学法的优点和不足。第五章是结论。体裁理论为阅读教学提供了诸多有益的启示。作为教师，在课堂教学中应自觉地运用体裁分析方法，不断提高学生的体裁意识。鉴于体裁理论在阅读中的运用还处于相对较初级的阶段，本文只是一个探索性的研究，还有许多问题有待解决，需做进一步的探讨。关键词：体裁体裁分析体裁教学法阅读理解m
