to know what love, faith(信仰) and beauty really are.I know this all too well, because Ive experienced a terrible illness myself.I was diagnosed(诊断) with both breast and colon(结肠) cancer at the same time, and my entire outlook on life completely changed.I thought I had it rough after having to raise my daughter alone, but going through cancer made my previous years seem like heaven. When you suffer from a serious illness like cancer,it makes you wonder what you did to deserve such a thing. The love of my family helped me to forget my pain, however.Their love was the greatest reason I had to fight ourselves,we still need to feel beautifulon both the outside and inside. Each passing day Im allowed to open my eyes, the days are brighter, because Im able to see and appreciate it that much more.True beauty is within and when you feel beautiful on the inside,it shows so clearly on the outside.Honestly,I could not have done or felt the way I did and still do without my family.I feel within my heart that I survived cancer just so I could continue to share my life with them, while sharing my story with others.I share my story with others as I hope to make a positive impact on those who are ill or just feeling down.We as people should never allow anything to steal our joy or self-esteem(自尊).We can turn something terrible like cancer into something positive if we focus on the great things that come out of it.After all,its at the worst times of our lives that the best things can happen.Indeed,I would never have known how truly loved I was if I had never become ill.Lying in that hospital bed,I felt more loved than I ever had before.I truly believe that when we survive a tragedy(悲剧),its for a reason. We all have a purpose, and through that purpose, compassion(同情心),strength, faith and true beauty is born.5.What was the authors reaction toward her cancer at the beginning?A.She thought she deserved it.B.She felt life was unfair to her.C.She firmly believed that she could get through
