hestartedtodevelopatypeofhybridricespecies（种类）.Itproduced20%morericeperunitthancommonones.Theseeding（种植）wasverysuccessfulinthefollowingyear.ThisprogressmadeChinatheworld’sleaderinriceproduction.

Morethan50%ofChina’stotalricefieldsgrowYuan’shybridspecies.PeoplecallhimtheFatherofHybridRice.
