GeneralMotorsaimstoturbochargeitsnon-vehiclerevenuebyintroducingdozensofnewfee-baseddigitalfeaturesby2026,includingoneenablingacartopredictwhenitwillneedmaintenance,atopexecutivesaidonThursday.

InSeptember2024,Alipaylaunchedanautomotiveassistantnamed"ZhiXiaoBao"basedontheAntBailingfoundationmodel.ByconnectingtotheAlipayecosystem,"ZhiXiaoBao"canquicklybooktickets,orderfood,hailtaxisandthelikethroughapurevoicemode,andcanalsogivepersonalizedadvicesaccordingtotheusers'livinghabits,timeandlocation,forexample,itcanautomaticallyremindusersthattheirvehiclesarerunninglowonpowerandhelpthemfindnearbyparkinglotsandchargingstations.Inaddition,voice-onlysmartorderingandexpressdeliveryarealsobeingplanned.
Overall,ZhiXiaoBaowillrelyonAlipay'sdigitalcockpitcapabilitiestocompletein-vehiclepayment.Intermsofthepaymentprocess,ZhiXiaoBaowillbeconnectedwiththeIVIsystembasedontheAlipayaccountsystem.Regardingpaymentscenarios,itwilluseAlipay'spowerfulservicesystemtocovermorethan8,000lifeservices.Asforpaymentmethods,ZhiXiaoBaowillleverageAlipay’stechnologytoenablevariousauthenticationmethodssuchaspassword-freepayment,facescanningpayment,andvoiceprintpayment.
AsofSeptember2024,Alipayhadseenmorethan1billionusersregisteredwithrealnamesandmorethan300millioncarowners,andhadcertifiedmorethan100millionvehicles.Alipayhascarriedoutin-depthcooperationwithBYD,NIO,FAWToyota,FAWHongqi,FAWAudi,Xpeng,GACHonda,FAWVolkswagen,Volvoandotherbrands.Inmid-October,theexecutiveinchargeofAlipaystatedthatalargenumberofOEMshadexpressedinterestinZhiXiaoBaoafteritsdebutinearlySeptember.

Duringdriving,Celiawillactivelyperceivethefuellevelanduser'srefuelinghabits.Whenthefuellevelislow,itwillinformtheuseroftheremainingmileageandremindtheusertorefuelintime.Whentheuserarrivesatthegasstation,Celiawillaskwhethertoactivatethesmartrefuelingservicebasedontheuser'sgeographiclocation,allowingtheusertoquicklyfindthesmartrefuelingapplication.Duringtherefuelingpaymentprocess,theusercanselectthefuelgunnumberandfuelnumberontheIVIscreen,entertherefuelingamountandpayonline,andgetanelectronicinvoicewithoneclick.Theuserdoesnotneedtogetoffthevehicleduringtheentirerefuelingprocess,whichismoreconvenientandefficient.Atthesametime,therefuelingserviceunderthesameHuaweiaccountwillbeactivelypushedtotheuser'smobilephoneunderCelia’ssuggestion,sothattheservicecanbeaccessedthroughmultipleentrances.ThisfunctioniscurrentlyavailableonAITOM7.

In2020,theMinistryofIndustryandInformationTechnologyproposedtheconceptof"ETCOEM"forthefirsttime,allowingcarstohaveETCequipmentinstalledinadvancebeforeleavingthefactory,andcarownerscandirectlyactivateitwhenpurchasingcars.
InApril2020,theMinistryofIndustryandInformationTechnologyannouncedthatstartingfromJanuary1,2021,newvehiclemodelsapplyingforapprovalshouldbeequippedwithETCequipmentthatusesdirectpowersupply.
Subsequently,OEMssuchasNIOandBYDbegantolaunchOEMETCequipment.OEMETCequipmentisnotonlymoreconciseandbeautifulintermsofwiring,butcanalsobedeeplyintegratedwithIVI,empoweringmoreETCapplicationscenarios.
