Exameachyear.Forexample,127thousandcandidatestookpartinthe

NationalGraduateEntranceExamlastyear.Ontheotherhand,notonlythe

undergraduatesbutalsosomepeoplewithworktrytheirbesttobe

postgraduates.Therearemanyreasonsfbrthisphenomenon.Firstly,itisout

face.Withoutloveandrespectfortheoldanywelfaremeasurecouldnotbe

happylife.Secondbasedonthefactthatthetraditionofhomecareforthe

elderlyfacesbigchallengeduetotheshrinkingfamilysizeacombinationof

familycarecommunity-basedservicesandsocialwelfarenecessarytohelp

ouroldpopulationinhelpingandsupportingtheirlives.Inthiswayoldpeople

canenjoythehelpandlovefromboththesocietyandtheirfamiliesthus

relievingthepressureontheiryoungerchildren.Thirdoldpeoplenotonly

needhelptheycanalsogiveahandinraisingtheirgrandchildren.Ifwctreat

themaspreciousassetstheymaynotonlyliveafullerlifebutalsomake

furthercontributionstooursocialandeconomicdevelopments.Atpresent

boththeproportionoftheoldintheChinesepopulationandthenumberof

retiredpeopleareincreasing.Howtorespondtothisphenomenonaffects

everybodynowandinthefuture.Weshouldcombinecommunityhelpwith
