Responsibilities,competencesandmonitoringofpersonnelmustberegulatedbytheoperatingcompany.

Thefollowingworksareonlyallowedtobedonebytechnicalspecialistpersonnel,whohavebeentrainedandinstructedfortheworksassigned:

Transportonlybyforwardingagents

Erection,commissioning,maintenanceandinspectionworks,aswellastroubleshootingbyspecialistpersonnel(e.g.locksmith,mechanics)

Worksontheelectricalsystemareonlyallowedtobedonebyelectricians

Personneltobetrainedandlaypersonsmayonlycarryoutworkonthemachinewhenunderthesu-pervisionofauthorisedspecialistpersonnelandmustbeinstructedaboutpossiblehazardsinasafetyinstruction.

Specialistpersonnel:

Personsthatcanevaluateworkassignedtothemandevaluatepossiblerisksasaresultoftheirtraining,knowledgeandexperienceaswellastheapplicableregulations.

Qualifiedelectrician:

Specialistpersonnelthathasobtainedanelectrotechnicalspecialisteducationandisfamiliarwithworkforsettingup,operationandmaintenanceofelectricalsystemsandoperatingmaterial.

Unauthorisedpersons:

Unauthorisedpersonsarepersonswhocannotappropriatelyprovethattheyarequalified,trained,orin-structedfortheworksonthevacuumpump.Inaddition,thosepersonsshallbeseenasunauthorisedwho,duetotheirphysical,cognitive,andhealthabilities,arenotabletorecognisehazardscausedbythevacuumpump.

Theusermustmakesurethattherequiredprotectiveclothingandprotectiveequipmentisavailableontheplantandusedbythepersonnel.Thenationallegalprovisionsandthenationalregulationsforindustrialsafetymustbeobserved.

TheV-VC40–303OXYaresingle-stageoil,floodedrotaryvanevacuumpumps.Therotaryvanedividesthepumphousingintoseveralchamberswhosevolumeschangeperiodically.Theoilensuresforthesealingofthegap,anoptimumlubricationandthedissipationofthecompressionheat.

Thepumpshaveanintegratedmeshfilteronthesuctionsideandontheoutletsideanoilandoilmistsep-aratortoreturntheoiltotheoilcirculationsystem.Thevacuumpumpishousedinasoundcover.Afanbe-tweenthepumphousingandthemotorcoolstheairinthepumphousingandcausescoolingofthecircu-latingoil.

Anintegratednon-returnvalvepreventstheevacuatedsystemfrombeingventilatedafterthepumphasstopped.Withstandstilltimeslongerthantwominutes,theconnectinglineshouldbeventtoatmosphericpressureinordertoavoidpossibledamages.

Whenthepumpisatoperatingtemperature,astandardgasballastvalve(

/U)preventsthecondensa-tionoflowquantitiesofwatervapourinsidethepump.Thewatervapourcompatibilitymayvarydependingonthepumpversion(seeInfoI200).

Itisdrivenviaacouplingbyaflanged,three-phasestandardmotor.

Tobeabletodistinguishthemfromthestandardvariants,theV-VCOXYpumpsarebluepainted.

Fieldsofapplication

Theoil-floodedrotaryvanevacuumpumpsV-VCOXYaresuitableforsuckingoutofairorothergaseswithincreasedpercentageofoxygen(contentbyvolumeabove21%).

Forcontinuousoperation>100mbar(abs.),thenexthighermotoroutputshouldbeused.

Iftheunitisswitchedonmorefrequently(atregularintervalsofapprox.10timesperhour)orathigherambienttemperaturesandinlettemperatures,excesstemperaturelimitofthemotorwind-ingandthebearingsmaybeexceeded.
