age,andhebecameafamousnovelistinhisthirties.Hewrotein

Maupassantsufferedagreatdealfromillnessinhislaterlife.
Heonlylivedfor43yearsanddiedinParisonJuly6,1893.Hehad
ashortlife,buthisworkswilllastforever.
