主语和谓语在“人称”和“数”方面的一致关系,通常依据三个原则:语法一致,意义一致,就近一致。1.either...or...,neither...nor...,notonly...butalso...,or,not...but...等结构连接并列主语时,谓语动词与靠近它的主语保持一致。e.g.Eitheryouorhehastostayathomethisafternoon.

2.在therebe句型和以here开头的句子中,谓语动词与靠近它的主语保持一致。e.g.Thereisariverandtwobigtreesthere.一、就近一致原则二、语法一致原则主语的人称和数决定谓语的形式,一般来说,不可数名词、可数名词单数、单数代词作主语,谓语动词用单数;复数名词和复数代词做主语,谓语动词一般用复数。and或both...and...连接名词或代词作主语时,谓语动词通常用复数,但若并列主语指“同一个人或事物”,谓语动词用单数。三、意义一致原则1.表示时间、长度、距离、价格、金钱、重量等的名词复数形式作主语时,常表示一个整体概念,谓语动词通常用单数.eg.200milesisalongwaytogo.
