DATE:2007.10VERSION:2CopyrightSsangyongMotorCompany.AllrightsreservedPUBLISHEDBYENGINEERINGSTANDARDSECRETARIATTECHNICALScopeThisstandardappliesto12Vswitches,suchasrotarytypeswitch,push-pulltypeswitch,plungertypeswitch,tumblertypeswitch,andlockertypeswitch,exceptforelectromagneticswitch,whichareintendedforuseinmotorvehicle.GeneralRequirementsStructureAlloftheswitchshallhaveagoodappearanceandbestructuredtohaveenoughdurabilityforcertainconditions.Theyshallsatisfythefollowingrequirements:TerminalsandbracketsTheterminalsandbracketsusedshallhavesuchasteadystructureastowithstandthevibrationcausedbycontractionandexpansionofinsulation.OperationAlloftheswitchshallguaranteesmooth,clearlyproperoperation.Theyshalloperatewithintherangeofoperatingtemperatureinthedrawing,butnotshowanyfunctionalabnormalities.OthersSwitchshallhavesuchstructurethatwithstandstheshortortheopencircuitbyarcwhenitopensorcloses.Italsoshallwithstandthepenetrationofwaterduringuseandotherharshconditions.MaterialsAllmaterialtobeusedforswitchshallhavealightweightaswellasasuitablestrength1)MetalmaterialsAllmetallicmaterialshallwithstandcorrosioncausedbygasolineoil,waterorair.Hardwaresuchasscrew,boltandnutshallusestandardpartinaccordancewithSYMCstandardspecification.2)Insulatingmateriala)Insulatingmaterial:Thethicknessofphenolresinorequivalentinsulatingmaterialshallbemorethan1.5mm.Itshallbesolidsoasnottoeasilyabsorbmoistureandprotecttheswitchagainstheat,oil,gasorarc.b)Cover,Knobs:Asurearesinorequivalentinsulatingmaterial,itshallbesolidsoasnottoeasilyabsorbmoistureandprotecttheswitchagainstheat,oilorgas.Itssurfaceshallbesmoothandeven,andfreefromdistortion,crack,holeorscratch.No.ofSampleThenumberofsampleprovidedforthetestshallbeatleast14[EA],whileatleast5[EA]fordurabilitytest.Itshallbesubjecttoaseparateagreement,ifany,withthedepartmentconcerned.NOTesttitleSampleNoPerformancerequirementclause1~34~67~910~141InsulationResistancetest●●●●4.12Insulationstrengthtest●●●●4.23Insulationstrengthtest●●●●4.34Voltagedroptest●4.45Shocktest●4.56Vibrationtest●4.67Dusttest●4.78Waterresistancetest●4.89Humidityresistancetest●4.910Contacttemperaturetest●4.1011Heatresistancetest●4.1112Overloadtest●4.1213Strengthtest●4.1314ContinuousIlluminatingtest●4.1415Temperatureresistance●4.1516Ignitionresistance●4.1617Lightresistance●4.1718Heatresistancecycle●●4.1819Durabilitytest●4.1920Non-flammabilitytest●4.2021Abrasionresistancetest●4.21TestMethodandJudgmentCriteriaInsulationResistanceTestThemeasurementshallbemadeatconstanttemperatureandhumidityusing500Vmegger,andtheresultshallnotbelessthan5㏁.InsulationstrengthtestPerformthemeasurementbyapplyingthecommercialfrequencyof500Vfor1minute.OperatingforcetestMeasuretheforceneededtooperatetheknobsbytorqueorloadspecifiedindrawing.VoltagedropAfterthedurabilitytest,thefollowingshallbesatisfied:1)Beforedurabilitytest:Notmorethan0.15V2)Afterdurabilitytest:Notmorethan0.25VShocktestWhenfreefalltheswitchtotheconcretesurfaceverticallyfrom1mtwice,thereshallnotbeanyabnormalitiesinoperation,functionandappearance.VibrationtestFixtheswitchtovibrationteststandatthesameconditionasactualvehicleandperformtheconsecutive2hourtestby5minuteperiod(Seenote2):thevibrationamplitude-1mmandthefrequency–600~3000cycleperminute.Thedirectionofvibrationshallbeupward/downwardtothemountingplane.Inaddition,theappropriatelampordeviceshallbeinstalledinordertocheckthecontactconditionduringthevibration.Inthiscase,thelampordeviceshallwithstandthefailureormal-functioncausedbythevibration.DusttestSecuretheswitchtothetextboxinapropersizewithnotmorethan30%ofrelativehumidity,andthenblowsandevenlyontoitat30m/min.1)Density:Sandwhosesizecanpassthrougha100-meshscreenat100%,whilethrougha200-messscreenat80%2)Maincomponent:SiO23)Concentration:20~50g/m³4)Testtime:8hours(at25℃ofambienttemperature).Notetoapplytheratedvoltageandcurrenttotheswitchtoopen/closeitat1cycle/min.duringthetest.WaterresistancetestPerformthetestunderthesameconditionasS1ofKSR0015(Testmethodofmoistureandwaterresistancesofvehiclecomponents).Thereshallnotbeanywaterinflow,norelectric/mechanicalabnormalitiesshown.1)Watertemperature:Roomtemperature2)No.ofwatersprayinlet:403)Totaldischargeamount:24.5L/min4)Testtime:30Min.HumidityresistancetestPerformthetestunderthesameconditionasM1ofKSR0015(Testmethodofmoistureandwaterresistancesofvehiclecomponents).Thereshallnotbeanyelectric/mechanicalabnormalitiesshown.Theleakagecurrentshallnotbemorethan300mAduringthetest1)Watertemperature:32℃2)Wettingcondition:Mixedstateofair,waterdropandvapor3)Testtime:8HoursContacttemperaturetestWiththeswitchcontactclosedatconstanttemperatureandhumidity,whencontinuouslyapplyingthevoltage/currentshowninthedrawingandmeasuringthecontacttemperature,itshallnotbemorethan30℃forselfcontact.Forotherthanselfcontact,thetemperatureshallnotbemorethan40℃forbronzeorbronzealloy,whilenotmorethan65℃forsilverorsilveralloy.HeatresistancetestWhenleavingtheswitchat80±3℃for300hours,itshallnotshowanydistortions,deformations,discolorations,cracks,thinwrinkles,exfoliations,changesinhardness
