Purpose:tohelpstudentsknowcolours

Bringinaboxofcrayonsormarkersthathavethecoloursblack,blue,brown,green,orange,red,whiteandyellowinthem.Holdupacrayonormakerandask"Whatcolourisit?"Elicitthecolourandcontinuerevisingcolours.Ifyoufeelyourstudentsarereadytodotheexercise,youmayskipthisstep.

DirectyourstudentstotheKeyWords.Holdupacrayon,forexample,black,andsay"Canyoufindthecolour?Pointtoandsaythecolour".EncouragestudentstopointtothecolourblackintheStudentBookandsayblack.Continuewithblue,brown,green,orange,red,whiteandyellow,monitoringtomakesurestudentsarepointingtothecorrectcolor.Checkstudents'pronunciationoftheKeyWords.

Haveyourstudentsgetintopairsanddirectthemtothepalette.HavetwostudentsreadtheExampledialogue.Thensay"Whatcolourarethewords?Taketurnsaskingandanswering".Maketheactivitylightandfun.Monitorasstudentsdotheactivity.Checkstudents'pronunciationoftheKeyWords.
