inMoscow.Whenthisteamexaminedapoisonousmushroom,iheydiscoveredthatcaffeicacidisresponsibleforits

bioluminescence.Inthisnewstudy,theteamemployedthatinformationandinserted(嵌入)enzymes(酶)一which

arespecifictothemushroom-intotheDNAoftobaccoplants.Inturn,theenzymeswereabletointeractwiththe

caffeicacidinthetobaccoplants,andcausethemtoglowbothinthedarkandinthedaylight.

Thismethod,ihescientistsclaimed,madetheplants10timesbrighterthanpreviouseffortsandthecontinuous

lightproductiondidn'tharmthehealthoftheplants.Interestingly,thelightdecreasedastheleavesaged-butitalso
