hisbybanningfirecrackersfrompublicplaces.Inaddition,weshouldrestrictthesettingoffoffirecrackerstofestivaldays.(b)ThereisnodenyingthefactthatsettingofffirecrackershasbeenahotlydebatedtopicinChina.People’sopinionsdiffersharplyonthisissue.Someholdthepositiveview.TheysaythatitisanancientChinesecustomwhichshouldbepreserved.Theyalsoclaimthatfirecrackersmakefestivalsandholidayoccasionsmorecolorfulandentertainingforbothadultsandchildren.Withoutfirecrackers,festivalswouldbecomedullandcheerless.Others,however,holdtheoppositeview.Theymaintainthatfirecrackersshouldbebanned.Theypointoutthatfirecrackersareresponsibleforfires,whichdestroy,property,andforinjuriessufferedbothbythepeoplewhosetthemoffandbyinnocentbystanders.Theyalsoarguethatfirecrackersareawasteofmoneyandresources.Personally,Ibelievethatweshouldnotgotoextremes.Ontheonehand,weshouldpreservetheoldcustomoflettingofffirecrackers;ontheotherhand,weshouldmakeitharmless.Thiscanbedonebybanningfirecrackersfrompublicplaces.Inaddition,thesettingoffoffirecrackersshouldberestrictedtofestivaldays.(c)Therehasbeenmuchcontroversyoversettingofffirecrackersinthepastyears,witheachpartyowningconvincingevidences.ThosewhoareinfavorofsettingfirecrackersclaimthatitisanancientChinesecustomthatshouldbepreserved.Theyalsoarguethatfirecrackersmakefestivalsandholidayoccasionsmorecolorfulandentertainingforbothadultsandchildren.Withoutfirecrackers,festivalswouldbecomecoldandcheerless.Ontheotherhand,therearemanypeoplewhoareoftheopinionthatfirecrackersshouldbebanned.Theypointoutthatfirecrackersareresponsibleforfireswhichdestroyproperty,andforinjuriessufferedbothbythepeoplewhosetthemoffandbyinnocentbystanders.Besides,theymaintainthatfirecrackersleadtoawasteofmoneyandresources.Personally,Ithinkthatbothsideshavesomethingright.Actually,firecrackersshouldbeviewedasatwo-edgedsword,whichpresentsuswithbothbenefitsandtroubles.Butweshouldnotgiveupeatingforfearofchoking.Thebestpolicy,asIseeit,istomaximizetheiradvantagesandminimizetheirunhealthyinfluence,
