Multiplewirelesssensingtriple-axisreferencedesign

TheZSTAR3systemaccommodatesmultipleanaloganddigitalaccelerometerboards,

connectedthroughanRFZigBee®2.4GHzcommunicationtoasingleUSBnodeconnectedtoaPC.Theaccelerometerboardsmeasureaccelerationinthreeaxesusingapincompatibledigitalor,optionally,ananalogsensor.Thesensorsensitivityisdefinedbytheselectedaccelerometer.TheUSBnodeispartoftheZSTARdesign,equippedwithdedicatedsoftwaresupportingmultiplenodes.

TheZSTAR3projectoffersanewPCsoftwareinterfacethatshowsallthebasicaccelerometerfunctionsandutilizations.Freescale’sRD3172MMA7456LZSTAR3canhelpyoustreamlineyoursolutionwiththeconvenienceofmotionandwirelesscontrol.TheZSTAR3isasmallportableboarddesignthatutilizesthefollowingproducts:

TheMM7361LTisalowpower,lowprofilecapacitivemicromachinedaccelerometerfeaturingsignalconditioning,a1-polelowpassfilter,temperaturecompensation,selftest,0g-detectwhichdetectslinearfree-fall,andg-Selectwhichallowsfortheselectionbetween2sensitivities.Zero-goffsetandsensitivityarefactorysetandrequirenoexternaldevices.TheMM7361LTincludesasleepmodethatmakesitidealforhandheldbatterypoweredelectronics.
