groupparticipatedinaprogramofnonaerobic(无氧)exercise-balancetrainingandweight

training-threetimesaweek.Thesecondgroupdidhigh-intensityaerobicexerciseunderthe

guidanceofatrainerforfourormoredaysaweek.Aftertwoyears,thesecondgroupsaw

remarkableimprovementsinhearthealth.

"Wetookthese50-year-oldheartsandturnedtheclockbackto30-or35-year-oldhearts,"says

Levine."Andthereasontheygotsomuchstrongerandfitterwasthattheirheartscouldnowfilla
