TheconsultationmeetingwasorganizedbytheAsianAssociationoftheUnitedNationsFoodandAgricultureOrganization(FAO)andtheinternationalfoodsovereigntyCommission(IPC-Asia),andthecooperationoftheChinaInternationalCivilorganization.Bythen,morethan80privateorganizationsfromtheAsiaPacificregionmorethan100representativeswillattendthemeeting.Theconferencedeclarationwillbeheldinthe27sessionoftheUnitedNationsFoodandAgricultureOrganizationAsiaPacificConferenceonMay17-21.

Themaintopicsofthismeetinginclude:

1theregionalandnationallevelsofthenongovernmentalorganizationsinthefoodandagriculturesectorintheAsiaPacificregiontoimplementtheglobalactionagenda/civilsocietystrategy.

2nongovernmentalorganizationsintheareasoffoodandagricultureintheAsiaPacificregiontodeterminethefutureoftheparticipantsinthecurrentsituation.

3participatingagenciestodrafttheproposalsubmittedtothetwenty-seventhUnitedNationsFoodandAgricultureOrganizationAsiaPacificConference,continuetocallforthemaintenanceoftheinterestsoffarmers.
