TheSTM32L053x6/8devicesofferseveralanalogfeatures,one12-bitADCwithhardwareoversampling,oneDAC,twoultra-low-powercomparators,severaltimers,onelow-powertimer(LPTIM),threegeneral-purpose16-bittimersandonebasictimer,oneRTCandoneSysTickwhichcanbeusedastimebases.Theyalsofeaturetwowatchdogs,onewatchdogwithindependentclockandwindowcapabilityandonewindowwatchdogbasedonbusclock.Moreover,theSTM32L053x6/8devicesembedstandardandadvancedcommunicationinterfaces:uptotwoI2C,twoSPIs,oneI2S,twoUSARTs,alow-powerUART(LPUART),andacrystal-lessUSB.Thedevicesofferupto24capacitivesensingchannelstosimplyaddtouchsensingfunctionalitytoanyapplication.TheSTM32L053x6/8alsoincludeareal-timeclockandasetofbackupregistersthatremainpoweredinStandbymode.Finally,theirintegratedLCDcontrollerhasabuilt-inLCDvoltagegeneratorthatallowstodriveupto8multiplexedLCDswithcontrastindependentofthesupplyvoltage.Theultra-low-powerSTM32L053x6/8devicesoperatefroma1.8to3.6Vpowersupply(downto1.65Vatpowerdown)withBORandfroma1.65to3.6VpowersupplywithoutBORoption.Theyareavailableinthe-40to+125℃temperaturerange.Acomprehensivesetofpower-savingmodesallowsthedesignoflow-powerapplications.

TheP-NUCLEO-IKA02A1evaluationpackprovidesareferencedesignforvariouselectrochemicalsensors.

TheSTM32NucleogasexpansionboardinterfaceselectrochemicalsensorswiththeMCUontheSTM32Nucleodevelopmentboard.TwoTSU111operationalamplifiersprovidesignalconditioning;theyareidealforelectrochemicalsensingthankstotheirhighprecisionandlowpowerconsumption.Theexpansionboardincludesanultra-lowcurrentprecisionanalogtemperaturesensorSTLM20usedforcompensationofgasreadings.

STM32NucleoboardsprovideanaffordableandflexiblewayforuserstoexperimentwithnewideasandbuildprototypeswithanySTM32microcontrollerline.TheNUCLEO-L053R8isdesignedforlowpowerapplications.
