Storyline:AVikingboycalledHiccupintroduceshisvillageofBerk.Thevillageisattackedbydragons,whostealfood(mostlysheep)andsetthingsonfire.Thevillagersgrabweaponsandtrytofightthedragonsoff.Despitebeingtoldbyeveryadultinsighttogoindoors,Hiccuphauls(拖拽,用力拖)outacannon(大炮)hemadehimselfandshootsadragonoutofthenightsky.Thedragonlandsinthewoodssomedistancefromthevillageandnoonebelievesthathehitanything,soit‘sthenextdaybeforeHiccupcangolookingforit.ItturnsouttobearareanddeadlyNightFury,butHiccupcan’tmakehimselfkillit.Insteadhereleases(释放,解放)it–whereupon(所以)italsorefrains(忍住,克制)fromkillingHiccup--anditfliesoffthroughthetrees.Hiccupdiscoversthatthedragon(whichheeventuallycallsToothlessbecauseofitsretractable(缩进旳)teeth)ismissingatailfin(鳍,尾翅).Hemakesaprosthetic(修复旳)tailfinoutofleather.Inaseriesofworkshop(车间,作坊)andtestflightscenes,Hiccupbuildsandperfectsasaddle(鞍,马鞍,鞍状物)controlledmechanism(机械装置)forthetailfin,andasafetyharness(马具,挽具,挽具状带子).Meanwhile,Hiccup’sfatherStoickhassignedhimupfordragontrainingwithGobber,whichisverydifferentfromthetraininghe’salreadydoingwithToothless:he’sgoingtolearntofightdragons.Atfirst,he’stheworststudentintheclass,thiscomesasnosurprisetohisclassmates:Astrid,Snotlout,Fishlegs,Ruffnut,andhertwinbrotherTuffnut.(Hiccup'salittlesweetonAstrid.).Beforelong,Hiccupisabletousesomethingshe’slearnedwhileworkingwithToothlesstosoothe(抚慰,抚慰)andmanagetheschool’spracticedragons.(Itturnsoutdragonsarejustbigkitty-cats:theyliketobepetted,there’sakindofgrassthat’slikecat-niptothem,andtheylovefish(buthateeels).WhenStoickreturnsfromafailedsearchforthefabled(传说中旳)nestofthedragons,he’ssurprisedbutthrilled(激动旳)tohearthathissonisdoingbrilliantlyatdragontraining.HegivesHiccupahornedhelmetmadefromoneofhisdeadmother’sbreastplates(胸铠).ButHiccup,asusual,isunabletogetaroundhisfather’sexpectationsandspeakfrankly(坦白地),sohecan’texplainthathissuccessatdragonschool.WhenHiccupsubdues(制服)apracticedragon,unintentionallyearningtheprivilege(特权)ofkillingitbeforetheentire(整个旳)village,he’shorrifiedanddecidestoflee(逃走)withToothless.HoweverAstrid,havingnoticedHiccup’sfrequentdisappearancesandsecretivebehavior,issuspicious.ShefollowshimtothehiddenvalleyandseesToothless.Unabletoexplainhisrelationshipwiththedragon,Hiccuptakesherflying,andshe’scaptivated(被迷住).Buttheygetcaughtupinaflock(鸟群,大量、众多)ofdragonsreturningtotheirnestcarryingfood.Thedragonsflyinsideamountainousislandanddropthefoodintoapit(坑),whichturnsouttocontainahuge,terrifying,andveryhungrydragonthateatsthesmalleronesiftheydon’tbringitenoughfood.HiccupandAstridareshockedtorealizethatthedragonshavebeenstealingtheirsheeptokeepfrombeingeatenthemselves.Whentheygethome,HiccupconvincesAstridnottorevealthelocationofthedragonnest.Beforeshegoes,shepunches(用力击、安)himinthearmandsays“That‘sforkidnapping(诱拐,绑架)me."Thenshekisseshimandsays"That'sforeverythingelse."Everythinggoeswrongatthedragon-killingceremony.Hiccupdiscards(丢弃)hisweaponsinanattempttoshowtheVikingsthatdragonsonlyfighttodefendthemselves,butStoickandothersintervene(干涉)andthedragonattacks.Toothlesscomestotherescueandisontheverge(边沿)ofkillingStoickwhenHiccupcallsToothlessoff.DespiteHiccup’sprotests,theangryVikingschainToothlessup.Hisfatherwon’tlistentoHiccup’swarningsaboutthegiantdragon.HeloadsToothlessonhisshipandtheVikingfleet(舰队)sailsoffwithallthewarriorsinthevillage,disowningHiccupandleavinghimbehind.WhenHiccupwondersaloudwhyhedidn’tkillToothlesswhenhehadthechancesinceitwouldhaveavoidedallofthis,Astridchallengeshimtoexplainwhy.Indoingso,Hiccupcomestoanepiphany(顿悟)abouthismoralcharacter,hispersonalstrengthandAstrid‘sfaithinhim.Inspired,Hiccupandhisclassmatesmount(骑到。。。身上)thepracticedragonsandflyoffinpursuitofthefleet.Atthedragons‘island,Stoickrealizesthathe’smadeamistake.Heresolves(决定)tofightithimselftobuytheotherVikingstimetoescape;Gobbervolunteerstojoinhim.WhileStoickandGobberpreparetosacrificethemselvestodistract(分散注意)thedragon,thekidsarrivetojointhebattle.ToothlessdrawitupintothecloudsandawayfromtheVikings,tryingtogetittocrashontheisland.IntheendToothlessreleasesablastintothegiantdragon'sopenmouthanditcrashesandburns,butHiccupfalltowardthefireasToothlesstriesdesperatelytocatchhim.Ontheground,aheartbrokenStoickapproachesthewoundedToothlesswonderingwhathasbecomeofhisson;ToothlessopenshiswingstoshowthathesavedHiccup.("Well,mostofhim,"Gobberremarks.)Backathome,HiccupwakesupandToothlessurgeshimoutofbed.Hiccupfindsthathelosthisleftfootinthebattlewiththegiantdragon.However,Gobberhasmadehimanewone.Theygooutintothevillage,whichisfullofswooping(猛扑,飞扑),frolicking(嬉闹)dragons;theVikingsnowtreatthemaspets.AstridgreetsHiccupwithakiss.SuppliedbyGobberwithanewtailfinprostheticandsaddleforToothless,HiccuptakesflightwithAstridandhisfriendsasheexults(欢腾)atthenewalliance(联盟、同盟)ofVikingsandDragons.HowtotrainyourdragonAfterIsawit,Ithoughtalotfromthefilm.Thefilmtellsusastoryabouttherelationshipbetweenourhumananddragons.AndIthinkitmaywanttotellusthatweshouldliveinharmonywitheverycreaturesandwithournature,sowewillhaveapeacefulworld.Furthermore,Ithinkmoreaboutthe
