同位语从句同位语从句讲练一、定义:主从复合句中用作同位语的从句,叫同位语从句。(名词性从句之一)用以说明前面名词所表示的具体内容。e.g.Thenewsthatourteamhadwonthegamemadeusexcited.Weheardthenewsthatourteamhadwonthegame.二、引导词:由连词that;whether;连接(代)副词who;when;where;how;why

等引导。三、先行词:常为某些抽象名词,如:news;idea;word;fact;hope;doubt;belief;possibility;problem;question;thought;promise;information;message;decision;answer;reply等。四、位置:常紧跟某些名词之后;但有时被其它词隔开,称分隔式同位语从句。e.g.1.Thetexttellsusafactthatsmokingdoesgreatharmtopeople’shealth.2.Ihavenoideathathehasalreadygoneabroad/whenhewillbeback/whobrokethewindow/whyshewenthome.3.Ihavenodoubt/Thereisnodoubtthathewillsucceed.4.Ihavesomedoubt/Thereissomedoubtwhethertheycancompletethetaskontime.5.ThebeliefthatallroadsleadtoRomeissharedbymanypeople.6.Thepossibilitythatpeoplewouldhavetowalktothefarmwasmentioned.7.Hecan’tanswerthequestionhowhegotthemoney.8.Wedon’tunderstandtheproblemwhythisisthebestchoice.9.TomgotamessagefromMrSmiththattherewouldbeatestsoon.10.WordcamethatChinalauncheditsfirstmannedspaceshiponOct.15,2003.11.Thethoughtcametoherthatmaybeshehadleftthedooropenwhenshelefthome.五、语气:在suggestion;advice;order;request等表示“建议命令;要求”等词后,同位语从句中的谓语动词常用“(should)+动词原形”虚拟结构。e.g.12.Hegavemanysuggestionsthatwe(should)getupearlierandtakemoreexercise.13.Thegovernmentgavetheorderthatallthesehouses(should)bepulleddowninthreeweeks.六、that引导的同位语从句与定语从句的区别:同位语从句定语从句语法角度(that功能)连词关系代词连接作用连接作用不充当成分充当成分(主宾)语义角度(与前面名词关系)同位关系所属关系说明名词具体内容限定名词范围逻辑上主表关系修饰与被修饰关系That省略角度一般不能省略作宾语时可以省略不可用which指物时可用which替比较:15.Weexpressedthehope(that/which)theyhadexpressed.(定语从句)WeexpressedthehopethattheywouldcometovisitChinaagain.(同位语从句)16.Thenews(that/which)hetoldmejustnowistrue.(定语从句)
