CivilAviationFlightUniversityofChinaFlightDataRecorder(FDR)isadevicewhichrecordsinformationabouttheflightoftheairplane.ThedatarecordedontheFlightDataRecorderisusedforaccidentinvestigations;thedatamayalsobeusedformonitoringairplanesystems.Alltransportaircraftabove5,700kgmustbefittedwithaflightdatarecorder.Theflightrecordersystemwillautomaticallyrecordairplaneairspeed,attitude,altitude,engineperformanceandotherdatafromenginestart-uptoengineshut-down.
