1.句中need是及物动词,意思是“需要”,后面常跟名词,代词,不定式或动词-ing形式。例如Theycertainlyneedyourhelp.Helpshouldbegiventothosewhoneedit.Idon’tthinkyouneedtohelphim.Thevegetablegardenneedswatering.(注:need后接v-ing形式时,此时v-ing具有被动含义。这句话相当于Thevegetablegardenneedstobewatered.)
