25、ete structure is used throughout and the use mechanical air conditioning systems is limited to the departure holding room near the boarding gates. The much larger departure hall is kept cool through natural ventilation coming from louvre inlets spread all over the enclosures at theperimeter.Spe lize

The lay out revolves around a courtyard and a stair enclosed by a double story curtain So

Solar water heating panels on the roof supply most of the hot water and there are brackets left on the roof assigned to add electrical solar panels h

36、ng a room and pilot lounge plus ma enace, reception and waiting area. Spa for the helicopters, their taxi routes and take off/ landing areas must follow GFS specificationsThe only way toodatethreehelicopters within the hangar and still have enough clearan for the take o nd landing areas is to stack

37、the helicopters in a two storey hangar andmaneuver themusingan elevating platform using a variation of the Skylift system developed my Molen Asso tes for hangars within crowded airports.The design attempts to give the building ality witho ompeting with the convention center beside it. Its curved sh

38、ds with copper paneling blend well with the materials used at its neighbor and the large size of both buildings keep them in a reasonable proportion with each other.Ground level is enclosed with a masonry t red base t grows outof the seawalls ifit wasanofthem.Theupperfits on the top overhanging a ea
