The studentsshould be able to understand the contentof the lesson.2.Ability objectives:a. The students should
3、be able to use the pattern toaccept or decline an invitation properly.b. The students should be able to use modal verb toexpresstheirabilitiesand obligations.3.Emotion objectives:a. Todevelop interestsby learningthislesson.b. Toraise the students sense of the art of speaking bylearningthislesson.Par

5、e usage of modal verb can,have to.Part 3teaching methods:As we all know, the main instructional aims of learningEnglishin the seniorschool isto develop the students ability of listening,speaking, reading, and writingand thegood sense of English language, so in this lesson Illmainly use Communicate A
6、pproach and Task-basedLanguage Teaching.That isto letstudentslearn inreal situation to help the students to get a betterunderstanding of the structure of the dialogue. In thislesson, Illmake use of all kindsof teaching meansandelectricity equipments to stimulate the studentscreativity and interest.P
7、art 4Teachingprocedure:Step1:Warm upand preview.Free talk between teacher and students about thevariousnamesof activities,whichstudentsoften do atweekends.Word collection. Teacher summarizes all of thesephrases on the blackboard.Do some practices by asking what do you do onweekends.Purpose: It isimp
8、ortant to form abetterEnglishlearningsurrounding for students and it provides situations toreview learned knowledge.Step2:Presentation.Illmainly talk about thisstep.Guessing phrases in pairs. By looking at the picturesone after the other, and then guess what are thecorresponding answersfor the pictu
9、res. Then check theanswersby whole classwork.Present the main pattern with the help of CAI. Set asituation to helpstudentsunderstand. Twostudentsaretalking. One said“my birthday is coming. Would youlike come to myListening task. Play the cassette again and finish thelistening tasks on the book. Besi
10、des, mention theimportance of takingnotes.Learn the dialogue by the playing cassette the thirdtime.Pay attention to theirpronunciation.Purpose: CAI can provide areal situation for studentstounderstand the dialogue.Step3:Practice.Divide 4studentsintogroupsto make dialogue accordingto the model. Pay a
11、ttention to the usage of modal verbcan and have to.Purpose: to check the knowledge studentshave learned inthisperiod.Step4:follow-up activity.Letstudentstalk about what they have to do and theycan do at home.Helpparentsdo some housework as muchas they can.Purpose: to review what we have learned in thislesson.Part 5:Blackboard design.Summarizesthe phrases about activitiesstudentshavelearned on the right part of blackboard.
