、 Rsums and CVs as used in Western Corporations. Read them first. The Difference Between Rsums and CVs These two names describe the same document and they both have the same purpose, although there are technical differences. “Rsum” is the name mostly used by the US and Canadian companies. Britain and

、other English-speaking countries tend to use “Curriculum Vitae”(CV). Non-English-speaking foreign companies operating in China will expect job applicants to submit an English- language Rsum with their job applications and interviews are conducted in English.Part twoCommunication Skill TrainingStep 1

、 It is considerable to list more skills in your Rsum than you express in the interview. Your Rsum should be clear and above all it should be brief. For newgraduates, the Rsum should not be more than 1 page. It is your most important job hunting document and will be updated from time to time during y

、a to use a Rsum photograph that is taken for this purpose. Part twoCommunication Skill TrainingStep 2You should not use your student ID or drivers licence photograph for your Rsum as these require you to be serious and without a smile. Your student ID photograph taken when you were a freshman will b

A suitable photograph will be “head and shoulders” with a pleasant expression which could be described as a “partial smile”. It should be full face but not look like an ID pict

、ure. Typeface and font size should be considered carefully. Ariel typeface is themost popular for your Rsum. It is particularly easy to read on screen. Font size11 or 12 fits on one page. The text should be “justified”, i.e. right margin should be straight.Part twoCommunication Skill TrainingStep 2
