He walks around to the side of the house and knocks on another door. The servant opens it. S: May I help you, sir? H: Yes. I nee

4、d to see the two brothers about S: Theyve gone, sir. Gone travelling. H: But they were just here two hours ago! S: Im sorry, sir. They will be back in a month a month from today. H: A month? But I cant believe S: Good day, sir. N: Henry sits down on the stairs, opens the envelope and takes out the l

5、etter to read. The letter says: “You are an intelligent and honest man, as one may see by your face. We also believe you are poor and a stranger to this city. Inside you will find a sum of money. It is loaned to you for a short time. Come back to our home with it in exactly 30 days. I have a bet on

6、you. If I win it, you shall have any job that you can do as my thanks.” H: Well, how about that!Go back to the two brothers house Imagine what might happen to Henry in the next month as he tries to use the bank-note but not get into trouble. or1. He might use it to buy a house and have to leave the

7、bank-note with the house sellers so they will be sure he can pay them. 2. He might take the bank-note to the bank and put it into a bank account. Then he can use smaller amounts of money for his daily needs. 3. He might use the note to buy a business so that he can earn enough money for his daily ne

8、eds. If he works hard, by the time the brothers return he will be rich enough to pay his debts.4.
