1、 (2011深圳高级中学) If you intend using humor in your talk to make people smile, you must know how to identify shared experiences and problems. Your humor must be relevant to the audience and should help to show them that you are one of them or that you understand their situation and are in sympathy with
2、their point of view. Depending on whom you are addressing, the problems will be different. If you are talking to a group of managers, you may refer to the disorganized methods of their secretaries; alternatively if you are addressing secretaries, you may want to comment on their disorganized bosses.
3、 Here is an example, which I heard at a nurses convention, of a story which works well because the audience all shared the same view of doctors. A man arrives in heaven and is being shown around by St. Peter. He sees wonderful accommodations, beautiful gardens, sunny weather, and so on. Everyone is
4、very peaceful, polite and friendly until, waiting in a line for lunch, the new arrival is suddenly pushed aside by a man in a white coat, who rushes to the head of the line, grabs his food and stomps over to a table by himself. “Who is that?” the new arrival asked St. Peter. “Oh, thats God.” came th
5、e reply, “but sometimes he thinks hes a doctor.” If you are part of the group which you are addressing, you will be in a position to know the experiences and problems which are common to all of you and itll be appropriate for you to make a passing remark about the inedible canteen food or the chairm
6、ans notorious bad taste in ties. With other audiences you mustnt attempt to cut in with humor as they will resent an outsider making disparaging remarks about their canteen or their chairman. You will be on safer ground if you stick to scapegoats like the post office or the telephone system. If you
7、feel awkward being humorous, you must practice so that it becomes more natural. Include a few casual and apparently offthecuff(即兴的) remarks which you can deliver in a relaxed and unforced manner. Often its the delivery which causes the audience to smile, so speak slowly and remember that a raised ey
8、ebrow or an unbelieving look may help to show that you are making a lighthearted remark. Look for the humor. It often comes from the unexpected. A twist on a familiar quote “If at first you dont succeed, give up” or a play on words or on a situation. Search for exaggeration and understatements. Look
9、 at your talk and pick out a few words or sentences which you can turn about and inject with humor. It can be inferred from the text that public services _. 11、ers(告知读者某些信息):多见于科普类新闻报道类文化类或社会类的文章。 2推测隐含意义推测隐含意义。要求我们根据文章的某个句子、段落或者全文所提供的事实进行逻辑推理,推断出作者没有提到的或者没有明说的事实或者可能发生的事实。旨在考查我们透过词语的字面意义去理解作者的言外之意的能力。这类题题干中常常有infer(推断), suggest(暗示), imply(暗示), indicate(暗示), conclude(得出结论)等词语。 3推断读者对象或者文章出处推断读者对象或者文章出处。解答此类题常常要依靠理解短语内容,特别要注意体会作者使用的有倾向的词语和表示出来的语气。我们可以从文章的内容或结构来判断其出处:(1) 报纸:前面会出现日期、地点或通讯社名称。(2) 广告:因其用词和格式特殊,容易辨认。(3) 产品说明:器皿、设备的使用说明会有产品名称或操作方式,而药品的服用说明会告知服用时间、次数、药量等。4推测作者的观点和情感态度推测作者的观点和情感态度。题干中常常出现attitude, opinion, according to the writer等词语。根据作者在文中的措辞,尤其是表达感情色彩的形容词、副词、动词及所举的例子,推断出作者的弦外之音。【答案及解析】 本文描述作者对现在与过去的人过周日的一些感叹。1.
