Mrs Smith, who is

5、in the corner, wan ts to meet you.意义不同:限制性定语从句与其先行词关系十分,如果去掉从句,剩余的部分意义。非限定性定语从句只是其先行词的如果去掉从句,句子剩余部分意义。(3) This is the house which/ that we bought last mon th. The house, which we bought last mon th, is very ni ce. He cha nged his mind, which made me very an gry.先行词不同:限制性定语从句的先行词一般为而非限制性定语从句的先行词既可以是也

When, where引导非限定

9、在从句中作宾语,无论指人还是指物都不能省略。)4. as和which在定语从句中的用法区别。1)as引导的定语从句修饰表人或物的先行词,即先行词可以是也可以是;在定语从句中可以作 、_或_;常 用于the sameas/suchas/as(so) as句型,as不论在定 语从句中作何成分,均不能。 Such teachers_as know Tom think him bright. 先行词为人such teachers as作主语 I ' II buyhe same bike_as I lost yesterday.先行词为物the same bike as作宾语,指同一类事物此时注

10、意和the samethat 引导的定语从句的区别It 'the same bike that I lost yesterday. that 引导定语从句,作宾语, 指同一个事物She wore the same dress that she wore at Mary's wedding. (the samethat 特指同一个)她穿着她在Mary婚礼上穿过的同一条裙子。She wore the same dress_as her young sister wore.(the same as泛指同一类)她穿着和她妹妹所穿的一样的裙子。归纳:(the sameas 泛指同一类)(

11、the samethat特指同一个)That is the same watchI lost.那块手表和我丢失的一模一样。That is the same watchI lost .那就是我丢失的那块手表。 It ' so heavy a box as no one can lift. 先行词为物 so heavy a box,as作宾语此时应注意as引导的定语从句和结果状语从句 such / sothat - 的区分It 's© heavy a box that no one can lift it.结果状语从句sothat如此以至于探 He is such a g

12、ood studenias is liked by every one.(定语从句,as在从句中作主语)He is such a good student that he is liked by every one.(结果状语从句suchthat)that在从句中不充当任何成分, 故不是定语从句,而是结果状语从句2).as和which都能引导非限定性定于定语从句,并都可以在定语从句中做主语或宾语,代表前面整个句子。He married her, as / which was n atural.他跟她结婚了,这是很自然的事。He is hon est, as we can see.他很诚实,这一

13、点我们看得出来3)当非限定性定语从句 置于句末时,as和which都可用来引导 这个定语从句。但当非限制性定语从句位于 主句之前时,只能用as.As I expected, he did n't believe m正如我所预料的,他不相信我。4)as引导的的从句意义上与主句意义一致,表正如”此时不能用which.常见的固定结构有:as we know /as is known to all众所周知), as we all can see正如我们看至U的那样 )as is often in the case(情况 常常是这样),as is expected (正如所预料的那样),as i
