8、欧洲某些国家的名称、首都、语言、著名城市和文艺建筑, 要求学生进一步了解欧洲概况, 学会表达地理位置, 最终能以口头和笔头形式并借助照片, 通过杂志、报刊等媒介综合介绍中国某一区域。本节导入本模块的学习内容, 通过复习和学习一些国家的名称、首都、语言名称, 学习介绍这些国家地理位置的英语表达方法, 为进一步学习和表达其他国家和地区的地理位置打下基础。听力部分同样也引入地理知识, 让学生在听的过程中确定这些城市的地理位置, 并练习方位的表达。三维目标1. 知识与技能1)Let students know the meanings of the new words and try to use t

Lead the module in by asking students the following questions:Which continent is China in?How many continents are there in the world altogether? What are they?2. Show a map of Eur
12、ope to the whole class and tell them that this is what we will focus on in this module.3. Have a brainstorm of what they have learned about Europe, its countries, famous sights, famous cities and so on. Step 2 IntroductionOption OneIntroduction is actually the warming-up of this module. This part ma
13、inly consists of two activities, which are designed to get students familiar with some European countries and to know some new words about the topic as well. To have a better effect, the teacher may combine the two activities.1. Revise and learn the words in the box. The teacher may give a hand if n

28、 letter stands for. Step 3 ListeningAs this is the first recorded listening exercise of the book, it might be worth spending a little time talking about some strategies with students. First you may tell them the importance of listening in the four basic skills. Then you may tell them they are going
29、to listen for specific information, and they should not try to follow everything they hear. Rather they should understand the gist of the whole conversation and focus on the facts they need to answer the questions. Tell them not to worry if they dont hear everything for the first time, for there wil
30、l be further opportunities.Activity One1. Before playing the tape, youd better make sure they understand the following words:Spain, Spanish, Edinburgh, Wales, Cardiff, French, Russian, German, Valencia, whereabouts, Barcelona, fantastic, tourism2. Ask students to follow the questions as you read the
31、m. And if time is sufficient, you might as well ask them to look at the pictures on Page 6 and try to elicit some comments about what they can see.3. Tell students that they are going to hear three people talking, two of whom are British, and one Spanish.4. Play the tape once for them just to listen
32、 to. And then play the tape through again for them to focus on finding the answers. Ask students to look
33、at the chart carefully first. Make sure they know what to do. To save time, they may just tick in the right space.2. Play the tape for students to complete the chart.3.
