1、My Teaching PhilosophyTeaching means activities that impart knowledge or skill. When we talk aboutteaching , we often think of methods, teacher, students and so on. Methods have oftenbeen regarded as the most important factor in determining the success of a languageprogram. However, if there is the

2、best teaching method in the world, is every studentcan learn very well? Maybe it is not. Similarly , imagining there is the best teacher inthe world, does she or he can teach all students well? Here are some ideas and beliefssummarizing my teaching philosophy.Firstly, I believe that the students is

3、the center of teaching. In other words, Ipromotestudent-centered theory.Itadvocates thesignificantlearningandself-evaluation, and encourages the students to educate themselves. When the teacherprepare one class, they need to consider students needs, the level of students, thecharacteristic of studen

4、ts, and so on. After determining students needs, the teachercan plan a course extremely well and have an effective class.The student-centered theory is an important principle in my daily teaching work.It is also a precious experience from my three -year-teaching. I still remembered myfirst English c

5、lass as a teacher in my life. As a new teacher in middle school, I had toteach two classes which were divided into two levels. One is A, which means thestudents goals in class A are above 60, the other is B, below 60. However, I used thesame teaching planning in two different classes, caused two dif

6、ferent results. In classA, I could finish my activities according to my teaching planning. While , in class B, Icouldn t finish the procedure in the teaching plan, and the consequence is not perfect.I was very confused after class. Discussing with other experienced teachers, I realizedmy fault that

7、I did not pay much attention to the situation of the two classes. Fromthen on, I realized the importance of students needs and Idifferebegancestodo.some students needs analysis inmylater teaching, and write differentteachingplanning facing different students.Secondly, from my three-year-teaching, I

8、am acutely aware that a class advisershould not play a role of baby-sitter for students. In the middle school I serviced for, Ioften heard some class advisers complained that they are baby-sitters of their students.They hate the work as a class adviser, even persuade others not to take over the work

9、as a class adviser. At first, I felt puzzled. After observation for a long time, I founddifferences between the “baby-sitterclass” adviser and the excellent class adviser.The “ baby-sitter” class adviser often do lotsf work for their students, which theirstudents can do by themselves. They wake up t

10、heir students like an alarm clock,storing their students moneylike a bank, reminding their students what should do andwhat should not do at the moment as a butler. How terrible! Do not theycomplaintheir work?However, an excellent class adviser loves the job and do less forstudents. They only use the

11、ir mouth to make orders and teach their students. Theirstudents can also finish the study well and live well in school.Class adviser is the main role of class work as organizer and schemer and mustplay students fully.“ The heavy responsibilitytheof class adviser is to encourage astudent where to fal

12、l right away where to crawl, helps them to elevate the ideal sweeponce again.” Class adviser is not a baby-sitter. When you feel you are the baby-sitterof your students, you may fail to be an excellent class adviser.The last but not least, I believe that education is not filling a bucket, but lighti

13、nga fire, written by William Yeats. English is a language, a communicative tool, so howto communicate in English is important that what is English. You need to teach yourstudents how to learn English, not what is English.“ Give a man a fish and he ends foa day. ” It is more important to show a stude

14、nt how to fish than catch the fish and giveit to him. Student is not a bucket thatyou can add what you want. Just like addingwater into, when it is full, you can not add anything at all, even the water will split out.Knowledge is the water, if you just fill knowledge into student head, it will full oneday. But if you regard teaching as lighting a fire and teach them how to fish, they willbe interested in study and deeply addicted in the ocean of knowledge.Teaching is an art. Different people hold
