6、usiness english courses are not simply helpful on the improvement of students english level and ability, and it is more to teach the students a western business management concept, work psychology, even how to deal with foreigners, how to work with them and some working methods, as well as their liv

7、ing habits, to an extent that it was included in the concept of culture. business english, as an important part of higher education, its characteristic is to cultivate applied composite talents, and it aims to cultivate talents who are in a solid grasp of basic english knowledge, and can be combined

8、 with business background, competent in all kinds of enterprises , engaged in business translation, service, management and working to develop morally, intellectually and physically ,they are applied special talents. it can be seen from the business english teaching purpose, it belongs to a kind of

9、practical english, itself has a unique purpose and applied.however, with such a special teaching target, the development of business english teaching is not optimistic. in many colleges and universities, business english teaching and many english major teaching are indistinguishable, even with norma

10、l college english teaching it is almost the same. on the faculty, many colleges and universities the teachers who teaching business english are graduated from english major, they didnt accept the business knowledge systematically , especially the training and learning of business english knowledge .

11、business english teachers should not only have a good command of english, but also business activities or lines. so, in the teaching of business english courses, the teachers often turned the classroom into the traditional intensive reading english class, the teacher is the core , they spend most of

12、 the time teaching the interpretation of the crude business vocabulary and abstract theory of international economy and trade. without the specific business background, the theory of business and the vocabulary are abstract, over time students gradually lost interest in learning, and they become pas

13、sive, the monotony of the traditional teaching mode makes the practical teaching effect of business english is very different with the teaching goal.what is more the business english teaching is the same as college english teaching, and give the priority to the students written exercises. students l

14、earning in a dull environment, do not have the ability to apply knowledge of business english, more have no chance to practice what they have learned. how to get rid of the traditional english teaching mode, let students experience the glamour of the business english , and then improve the ability o

15、f using english for business communication. compared with the traditional teaching mode, multimedia teaching has the incomparable advantages in many respects, , it has to do with the traditional teaching way to balance each other, complement each other, and it play an important role in business engl

16、ish teaching, whats more it has many functions that traditional teaching does not have. therefore, constructing the new-style business english teaching patterns under the multimedia and internet environment is worth us to in-depth discussion.2 the traditional teaching method and multimedia teaching

17、methodwhat we can see from traditional foreign language teaching theory is the learners should first master the language forms (e.g., grammar, word formation, etc.), through the language form to understand the language content, expression the thoughts,and then teacher cut the text into pieces of voc

20、aditional english teaching in class, the teacher mainly relies on the blackboard writing and speaking to lecture to students, the form is single, boring and it is limited and full. such traditional teaching mode is not applicable to business english classroom whichs aim is to cultivate students abil

21、ity to communicate , also is not conducive to the enthusiasm of the students. along with the science and technology unceasing progress , the continuous development of times, a single and limited english teaching mode is going to be abandoned by people, instead of using the new teaching mode with mod

22、ern means of multimedia.multimedia english expression is multimedia, it is an integration which includes video images, sound, graphics and text on the multi-level , through the computer to make mutual induction.multimedia technology makes a variety of information media objects synchronous composite

23、integration, then deal with them before presentation. in the business english classroom the multimedias take part in makes teaching and learning has made great progress.3 the unique advantages of multimedia teaching methodbecause of the multimedia has figure, words, sound and texts ,whats more it ha

24、s the characteristic of moving images, which has many characteristics and function for the teaching process is particularly precious , these functions are other media (such as slide show, projection, movies, audio, video, television, etc.) dont have or dont completely have. compared with traditional

25、 teaching, multimedia teaching will be vividly portrayed, the characteristics are obvious. first of all, the multimedia teaching has the characteristics of the figure, it can be combined with text and sound, these can help students to have a break in the visual and auditory constraints in learning.

26、in business english class, the students can more intuitive feel the simulated business world which is brought by multimedia technology . for example, a real international business listening material, fresh business environment video reproduction, and so on. second, the use of multimedia technology c
