The passage is the second period of the unit. In my opinion, it is very important for the Ss to learn
3、 because it helps Ss a lot in getting the abilities mentioned above. It first introduces the importance of the skin to our body, then introduces types of burns, characteristics of burns and certain steps of first aid treatments. It is hoped that through the passage, the Ss will know how to perform f
4、irst aid procedures for burns and do first aid calmly during an emergency, and it is a good chance to prove that they can also learn sth. practical through English study. Analysis of the Ss The Ss in Class 6 have less initiative in English study and cooperation with teacher and they can hardly conce
5、ntrate on the lesson for a whole period, so the tasks designed for them should be diverse and easily carried out. Most of the students in Class 3 have a good knowledge of the ways of doing Reading Comprehension. So, besides accomplishing the reading tasks in a limited time, their speaking skills wil
6、l also be trained. (1)To get to know some important words in the reading passage: injury, bleed, organ, poison, swell, damage, wound, mild, squeeze, symptom, etc. (2)Enable the students to master some English expressions and phrases and to know some knowledge of first aid. 2.Ability objects (1) Enab
