Teaching steps:Step 1 Leading-in1. Play a song-”Hows the weather?” to the students to sing along with.2. Tell the students thats what well learn today.Step 2 Presentation1. Show the Ss pictures to teach new words about the weather.2. Get the Ss to read the new words in pairs and make sure their partners can read them corretly.3. Check with flashcards.4. Teach new drills with pictures: - Hows the weather? - Its sunny/ cloudy/ windy/.5. Ss ask and answer about each picture.6. Teach new place names with pictures: Moscow, Toronto, Boston7. Talk about the weather in different places. - Hows the weather in sp.? - Its sunny/ cloudy/ windy/.8. Show the Ss a map of weather forecast.9. Get the Ss to ask and answer about the weather in different places.Step3 Consolidation1. 1a Match the words with the pictures.2. 1b Listen and write the city names in the boxes in the pictures.3. 1c The teacher makes conversations with two students as examples.4. The students make their own conversations.5. Show time. Some students act out their conversations.Step4 A discussion about the school trip.1.
