My food has gone missing. 例如:I lost my keys. (永远丢了)My keys have gone missing. The person most likely to be the murderer is the man of medium height.likely是形容词,意思为“有可能的”,注意短语:be likely to, 此句中的 “most likely to be the murderer”做后置定语,可改为后置定语从句 “who is most likely to be the murderer”; “of medium height”介词短语也做后置定语3. Last night, the body of a 22-year-old man was found in the doorway of a clothes shop in Valley Town.22-year-old连字符结构构成形容词只可以做定语,不可以做表语,诸如:I am fifteen years old.I am a fifteen-year-old student. I am fifteen-year-old.4. He was last seen leaving his office in New Town at about 7 p.m.see的用法:see sb. do或see sb. doing;被动语态: be seen to do(省略了的to不定式被动语态to必须要还原),be seen doing5. They are still working at the scene of the crime to find out whether the victim was killed somewhere else and then brought to Valley Town, or killed at the place where he was found.案发地点:at the scene of the crime案发时间:at the time of the crimeA. find out 和find之间的区别:find out为查明/查出一个真相/事实, find一般指找到具体的某样东西或某个人,look for强调找的动作,此句为查明受害者到底是在哪儿被杀的真相,文章第四段另外一句:We will work hard to find the murderer. They havent decided whether they will go or stay.b 当与“or not”连用时如:告诉我你是否参加这个晚会. Tell me whether you will take part in the party or not .c某些动词后面只能跟whether, 如discuss如:我们正在讨论我们是否将考试. We are discussing whether we shall have an exam.d用在介词后如:那个男孩子问了一个月球上是否有生命的问题. The boy asked a question of whether there is life on the moon.e在带to 的动词不定式前请告诉我是否要关窗户. Please tell me whether to close to window.fwhether Whether he will come is very important. The question is whether they will arrive on time. The question whether we should go there must be decided then.C. somewhere & sometime & someone & something我下周的某个时间要见你.I want to see you sometime next week. I have left my book somewhere.(注意:somewhere前不加介词)某人正在敲门.Someone is knocking on the door. Something is always disturbing me. He gave up studying because of some reason.6. The victims parents have offered a reward of ¥50,000 for any information that leads to the arrest of the murderer.由于某事而提供多少钱的悬赏:offer a reward of (money) for (sth.)注意介词不要用错“that leads to the arrest of the murderer” 作为后置定语从句修饰先行词information, information不可数,所以定语从句中的谓语动词用三单形式“leads”lead to导致,leadledledarrest既可以用作动词又可以用作名词:be arrested=be under arrest8. Anyone with information should contact the police on 55501212.with information介词短语作后置定语,with表示有,此处不可以用has,除非用后置定语从句anyone who has information; 或者anyone having information相同知识点:Ive seen a man with blood on his shirt.=Ive seen a man who has blood on his shirt.= Ive seen a man having blood on his shirt.9. Detective Lu said that the victim was attacked with a knife and bled to death as a result.被凶器袭击:be attacked with a knife/ gun被人袭击:be attacked by sb.as a result, 表示“结果”, 一般用于句首或句尾;as a result of,表示“作为。的结果”,一般用于句中:如:她起迟了, 结果她错过了早般车.She got up late, and as a result she missed the early bus. He was late as a result of the traffic jam.10. It is possible that there was more than one attacker. Detective Lu added that the police are now checking the scene for fingerprints and other clues13. However, Detective Lu said that the victim was guilty of computer crimes in the past.14. He was charged with breaking into several computer systems over the last year.15. We are not sure whether this has made him some enemies.16. However, the suspect had evidence to prove that he was at another place at the time of the crime and insisted that he was not guilty.17. I dont dare to go out alone at night now. Ill put up a drawing of the suspect tomorrow.put up在此句中意为“张贴”, 它还可表示“建造”,如:put up many tall buildings(建造很多高楼);put up a good fight意为“进行殊死搏斗”put out扑灭,put away收拾,put on穿上(反义词组take off),put off推迟19. The interviewer asked Detective Lu how many crimes he had solved. 20. Mr. Wu said that the sun rises in the east. 21. Say thanks for me.
