In section 1, it mainly deals with the passage about the world robot exhibition. And in the section 2, it deals with the understanding of the passage and provides some extra writing exercises for the Ss to practice the key expression.Analysis of the teaching material1. This unit is the last of Book 5A, and lesson 6 is the last lesson of unit. The title of this unit is “Work quietly” and it focused on the topic of behavior of public situation. In the reading part, this unit deals with the features of robots from all over the world.2.Lesson 6 is the last lesson of Unit 6, it concludes the passage“the world robot exhibition”. The topic of the passage is related to future life, so it is helpful to raise learning interests of students and it will be also helpful to improve their reading skill and spoken English. Besides, the passage has contained many sentences which will help the Students to master the writing well.3 As the last part of the unit, if the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss write well of this unit.Teaching Objects1. Knowledge objects: Words and phrases: world, exhibition, sushi, take turns, Spanish, Canadian, 2.Ability objects: Ss can skim the passage and find out the keywords which is containing the main idea of the passage. Ss can scan the passage and underline the lead sentences and main features of each robot. Ss can finish the following exercises related to the material. Ss can talk 4 or more than 4 sentences about some future robots.3.Moral objects: Ss have an awareness of cooperation learning. Ss improve the interest in English reading. Ss image a general idea of future robot and future life.Important points1. To master the new words and expressions. 2. To improve their reading skill and spoken English.3. To enable the Ss to study in groups and co-operate skillfullyDifficult points1. To develop the Ss ability of working in group. 2. Which kind of robot is your favorite? Fast reading: To get the main idea of the passage with the guided questions.Step 3While-reading(25min): Read and answer: careful reading, and answer the following questions to get the detailed information. Post-reading(language focus)(10min): Deals with some key language points especially the expressions of robots. Ask the Ss to find out the sentences and try to analyze the structure of the sentence.Step4:Practice(10min) Finish the following exercise (exercise 2) . Try to rewrite the sentences which are picked out from the passage according to exercise 2. Role-play-act out the dialogue. In group according to exercise 3(use the objects
