class2IEC1010and VDE411standards,in aordancewith groupB VDE0110standards foroperating voltagesup to250VACrms phaseto neutral.To maintainthis conditionand toensure safeoperation,the usermust plywith theindications andmarkings containedin thefollowing instructions:Before beginninginstallation,check toensure thatthe unit is intactand thatno damagewas incurredduring shipping.Ensure thatthe mainsvoltage correspondsto the units operatingvoltage and then proceedwith theinstallation.The power supply does not requirean earth connection.A30mA slowfuse shouldbe installedin the power supply circuit to the unit.Maintenance and/or repairsmust becarried outby qualified,authorizedpersonnel,only.If thereis everthe suspicionthat safeuse isno longerpossible,the unit must bedisconnected andprecautions mustbe takenagainst aidentaluse.Operation isno longersafe when:?there areclearly visibledamages;?theunitno longerfunctions;?after aprolonged storagein unfavorableconditions;?after seriousdamages incurredduring transport.INSTALLATION PowerSupply The unitmusthave apower supplywith voltageranging from200.240VAC50/60Hz usingmax.cable gauge2.5mm2and attachedto the power ismistakenly reversed,theunitwill pensateautomatically.Thus,thecurrentinputs willalways becorrect.This featureapplies toreversed voltageconnection,too.However,it isabsolutely essentialthat youfollow thesequence ofphases betweenthevoltageand thecurrent.NOTE:In orderto avoiddamaging theunit and/or endangeringthe operator,the secondarycurrent transformermust alwaysshort circuitwhen it is notconnected.Programming theUnit OperatorControls andDisplay Theprogramming keyis locatedatthebottom left-hand cornerof thefront panel,below the LCD display(see Fig.5).The power key(W)with itsbuilt-in LEDand the energy key(kWh)with itsbuilt-in LEDare locatedtotheright ofit.Powering UpWhen theunit ispowered up,the wordWAITwill firstappear intheLCD display.After afew seconds,thepowerconsumption willbe displayedandtheLED inthe upperright-hand cornerof thepower key(W)will simultaneouslylight up.Programming ModeTo enterthe programmingmode,simultaneously press the programming key andthe energy(kWh)key.The currentlyvalid CT(current transformer)ratio willthen appearintheLCDdisplay.The CT ratio promptedby defaultis5/5.Setting theCT RatioThe CTratio isset bypressing thepowerkey(W)as oftenas necessaryuntil thedesired valueis displayed.Table1presents all29possible CTratios.Table1.Possible
