Unit 4 Dont eat in class.Section A 1a-1c 教案1. Teaching objectives:(1)Ss can talk about school rules: Dont eat in class. We can eat in the dining hall, but we cant in class. We must be on time. (2) Ss can understand the importance of rules in school and they should follow them. 2. Teaching focus (1) Key points: words: arrive (be) late for class, run in the hallways, eat in the dining hall, listen to music in the classroom or hallways, fight, be on time, outside, wear, uniform, quietSentences: Dont eat in class. We cant eat in class, but we can eat in dining hall. We must be on time.Topic: Ss can use “Can we? Dont” to talk about rules in school (2) Difficult points: Ss can use the imperative sentences correctly 3. Teaching proceduresStep() Warming-up Free-talk T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? Ss: Im fine, thanks. And you? T: Im terrible. Look at this. Whats this? Oh, its a paper saying that a student breaking school rules. He eats in the classroom. But we cant eat in the classroom. Do you think so? Ss: Yes, I agree. T: OK. Next lets look at the picture and discuss what school rules they are breaking.Step () Presentation Present the picture of Ss fight in the classroom. T: what are they doing? Ss: They are fighting. T: Can we fight in the classroom? Ss: No. T: So we cant fight. And we can also say: Dont fight Then write “We cant fight in the classroom” and “Dont fight” on the blackboard. Present “We cant listen to music in the classroom” “We cant be late for class” “We cant eat in the classroom” “We cant run in the hallways” in the same way.Step()Brainstorm T: Can you brainstorm some more school rules? Four Ss work in one group and look at the pictures and brainstorm. Then fill the chart below. We cantWe mustStep() Act guess T: Next, lets play a game. I will invite a student to come here and I will give him a paper which says a school rule. He should act and other students guess which school rules he is acting. Any volunteer? And we also have a competition among groups. One student act and other Ss guess.Step() Practice T: Turn to page 19. Look at 1a. Which rules are these Ss breaking? Write the number of the rules next to the student. I will give you two minutes. Ss work on 1a. Then check the answer. Step() Listening T: Some Ss break the rules. What rules are they are breaking? Do you want to know? Please listen and write the numbers after the names. Play the recording the first time and Ss listen and number.Play the recording the second and check the answer with the class. Play the recording the third time and ask Ss to imitate.Step() Pair-work T: Suppose youre student B in Gushi Middle School and student A is a new student from England. Please tell student B about your school rules. Two Ss work in one group. One is student A and the other is student B. Two minutes to prepare. Student A: What are the school rules?Student B: Step() Writing T: Now you are a librarian in a library, please write library rules for the library. I will give you three minutes to write.
