and energy? according to a survey, over 80% of the participants said that the major life goal for them was to get rich.and another 50% of those same young adults said another major life goal was to become famous.we are constantly told to work harder and achieve more.we are given the impression that these are the things that we need to go after in order to have a good life.but is that really what keeps people happy as they go through life?what if we could study people from the time when they were teenagers all the way into old age,to see what really keeps people happy and healthy?we did you get along with others that matters.it turns out that living in the midst of conflict is really bad for our health.marriages full of conflicts, for example, without much love, turn out to be very bad for our healthperhaps worse than getting divorced.and living in the midst of good and warm relationships is protective.and the third big lesson we learned is that good relationships not only protect our bodies, but also protect our brains.research indicates that the memories of the people who are in good relationships turn out to be sharper and longer.and the people in bad relationships experience earlier memory decline.in a word, our study has shown that the people who fared the best are pe
