List similarities and differences on three occasions.As we know, there are so many similarities and differences between Western and Chinese customs. I will focus on three aspects of differences, respectively, the diet custom, the way of exchanging the gifts, and teaching system.First, I will talk about the differences of diet custom. The main difference between Chinese and Western is eating habits. In china, it is a tradition to use chopsticks and plates. But people in Western prefer to forks and knives. I think this different result is based on different food they like. In my opinion, different people take the different positions and we do different things in society, but the most important thing is that we should assume our responsibilities. As a whole, this movie not only has a wonderful plot but also provide food for thought.4. What makes a happy marriage?Talking about what makes a happy marriage? Different people have different opinions. And I am not married, so, I think I cant understand deeply. Then I only take about my opinion.First, I believe that communication is most important. Marriage means you are not alone any more. You are supposed to share the opinions ,feelings ,hobbies and many other aspects in your life with your husband or wife ，otherwise this marriage has lost its real meaning. Also if you always hide your feelings toward him or her, the marriage can hardly last long. Bird flu and SARS are two typical examples that environmental destruction may threaten our life. Besides, forest destruction, water and air pollution result in decrease of planting land and unpleasant weather, which let us have less and less harvest of foodstuffs. Cars have made the air unhealthy for people to breathe and poisonous gas is given off by factories. The water pollution and air pollution also make us in a dirty environment which we cannot tolerate. Human behavior also damage the environment. Everywhere we can see many rubbish. So we must worry about the environment and we should do many things to protect it from pollution. First, we should plant more and more trees, which is very good for our environment. Second, we can firstly choose renewable energy such as Solar Energy and Wind Energy to use. What do you think about the one-child policy?The one-child policy has been implemented in China for many years. And this policy is accepted by Chinese people gradually. Now I will talk about my views of this policy.The boom of population used to be a heavy burden to the republic and this situation made the decision that we must carry out the one- child policy. Everything has two sides, and the Policy is no exception. It also has both advantage and disadvantage.First, I will talk about some advantages of this policy. The one- child policy has obviously lightens the pressure brought by the population which make it possible for China to develop its industry construction. Also the policy slows down the speed of increasment on population and improve its life quality.But on the other side, as the only child in the family, he or she always is the centre of family and he or she is brought up in a lonely environment which result a lack of cooperation and communication. As the result of this situation, most children become more and more selfish, in other words he or she never know to be satisfied, never learn to be grateful and never be willing share with others. Though I dont like those comments I still have to accept some of them.About this policy, I think the advantage is more important than the disadvantage. Should smoking be banned in public places?Smoking is a habit that many people have, and those who are in this habit regard smoking as a mean to ease pressure and a lubricant for socializing. Indeed, smoking is a kind of human freedom. However, its negative byproducts may not only do harm to the smoker themselves but also to the non-smokers around them. Judging from this, I believe that smoking should be banned in most public place. Then I will give some reasons to explain my view.The reasons I agree banning smoking in public places are as follows. Firstly, cigarette can produces secondhand tobacco smoke, causing health hazard not only for the smokers but also for the passive smokers. That is to say, only one smoker is needed to ruin an area, as the smoke will spread and fill the whole space, and those non-smokers are forced to be exposed to the poisonous chemicals. In addition, passive smoking can cause symptoms such as bronchitis, dizziness, nausea, coughs and so on. whats more, secondhand smoke can be deadly as well. In brief, damaging ones health is viewed as a personal liberty, but damaging someone else health is not the same thing.Secondly, smoking produces lots of cigarette butts, which are often dropped on the floor by smokers, and makes the street scattered with butts. Moreover, cigarette butts may lead to potential fire hazard for some smokers are careless to them, and throw them away without extinguishing them. In short,smoking is an unfriendly behavior and thus should be banned in public places.All in all, smoking in public can be harmful to non-smokers as well as being environment-unfriendly. In my opinion, the most important factors considered is the field of study which you want to make some achievements. Specifically, if I have a more oppprtunity to choose a university. First I choose my major in the field of which the social need and then choose a university ,which university this major is best. Because there are more and more college students in these years and the job is found uneasily. Though students in some field have great ability, they hardly find a job.
