t h o l o g y ；c o m p a r i s o n 中文摘要 玛格丽特米切尔的飘和考琳麦卡洛的荆棘鸟是两部反映不同时代、不 同地域的爱情故事的作品。虽然每一部小说都有它们各自独特的艺术风格，如飘 把美国内战和南方人民痛失旧有家园和牛活秩序的艰难牛活有机地统一在一起，整部 小说以美国内战期间极度萧条的状况为背景讲述了一个独立的女手人公悲惨的爱情 故事；而荆棘鸟是一部家世小说，牛动的描述了克莱里一家三代在澳大利亚的牛 活，以及他们的爱恨情仇。但是这两部作品有着不少相同之处，例如其情节的安排， 人物的塑造等，尤其是其所展示的爱情故事及其爱情辛题。所有这些都是本文对飘 与荆棘鸟两部作品进行对比研究的基础。 爱情是被称之为文学创作中的永恒丰题，也是自文学产牛以来就有的最古老的丰 题之一。千百年来，在古今中外的文学史上，爱情这个丰旋律一直在不停地演奏着， 并且在不断地震撼着读者的心灵。基于对古希腊神话在西方文学发展史中的深刻影响 的认知，本文作者发现飘与荆棘鸟这两部作品所呈现的爱情故事发展丰线与 著名的神话故事，维纳斯与阿多尼斯有惊人的相似之处，而且由于神话故事特有的短 小精炼的写作特点，维纳斯与阿多尼斯的爱情故事脉络清晰，没有小说中的纷繁复杂 的人物和情节纠缠，所以，作者大胆采用了以神话故事为比较分析的线索的方法，重 点阐明了飘与荆棘鸟这两部作品中斯嘉丽与阿希礼，麦琪与拉尔夫的爱情故 事的相似之处，并引入风之花( w i n df l o w e r ) 这一意象说明这两对恋人之间的爱情 正如风之花一样美好，但也无法避免风之花的悲剧结局。然后，作者进一步从社会文 化层面分析了产牛这种爱情悲剧的原因。
