Unit 4 what can you do ? Part AGood morning , ladies and gentlemen . Im Zuo Yingmei from Chengxiang Primary School, Yongxin County.Im so happy to be here to share my class with all the teachers here .Today I am going to talk about Unit 4, Part A. I divide my class into 5 parts. Part 1 Analysis of content and studentsFirst , I want to say something about the teaching content . The topic of this unit is about housework . The students are very familiar with housework , and they have learned some phrases about housework in Grade 4 , such as water the flowers , set the table, sweep the floor and make the bed . So it is not very hard for the students to learn this part . As everyone knows , the main instructional aims of teaching English in primary school is to develop the students abilities of their listening , speaking and their good sense of the English language . So I set up my teaching mode of this lesson as listening and speaking. But in the end of my class ,I also design a writing activity to train the students writing skill. Now lets come to the teaching aims.Part 2 Teaching aims Aims on the knowledge: To enable the students to master the five phrases: sweep the floor, cook the meals, clean the bedroom, water the flowers and empty the trash. Aims on the abilities:To enable the students to talk about housework by using the sentence: what can you do? I canIm helpful.To train the students ability of working in groups. Aims on the emotion:To cultivate the students good habit of doing housework.To lead the students to show love to their mothers and other people and learn to help each other.Part 3 Teaching important and difficult points:To help the students master the phrases and use them correctly in real situation.Part 4 Teaching methods:Singing and chanting. Asking and answeringPair work and group work.Playing games.Part 5Teaching process.Step I warm- up and preview1. Greet the class.2. Lets sing.( the “color song”.)I begin my class with the “color song”. I divide the students into seven groups, each group stands for one color. When singing “Red “the Red group stand up and clap their hands. When singing yellow, the yellow group stand up and clap their handsWhen singing “I can sing a rainbow”, the students showing a rainbow by using their finger.3. “Lets do”.(play the tape)Open the door, open the door. I can open the door. Sweep the floor, sweep the floor, I can sweep the floorIn this step, I use singing and doing to arouse the students interests in learning English and present the sentence “I can”. step 2 presentation.1 Lets learn Teach the new words by drawing and acting. “look. I can water the flowers, Im helpful.”2 Speak out the phrases quickly.(showing the pictures.)3 Lets chant Show the chant: Dog, dog what can you do? I can run after you. With the help of the pictures, the students will be able to understand the chant .Chant it several times to remember the sentence “What can you do ? I can”4Make a chant by themselves.(showing the pictures.)Step 3 practice Asking and answering Divide the students into 2 parts. what can you do ? I can .(teacher ask ,students answer by turns. The answers can not be repeated.).Great! You are helpful. Group work and then finish the chart.Step 4 Consolidation and extension 1.Lets watch a video(妈妈洗脚)From the screen, we know mother is very busy. What can you do for your mother?2.Lets write. Here is a card for your mom. What do you want to say ? We should help mom do some housework every day.What can you do for your other family members/friends/3.Show t
