教学内容:人教修订版高中英语二年级(下)Unit 16The Amercian south教学内容分析:.Brief Statements Based on the UnitThe United States of America is a developed country and also a booming country, which has a history of only 200300 years. After the USA was founded, the American Civil War broke out in 1861,which brought suffering to the people of the USA, especially those in the South. Rebuilding the South became an essential task at that time. This unit mainly talks about the rebuilding and development of the American South. And Atlanta is a good illustration. It also deals with the bison on the plains of America. Because the bison was killed in huge numbers by European settlers, the balance of the whole wildlife was destroyed. After learning the unit, we let the students learn about the early history of America. Please work in pairs and try to put the events in the correct place on the timeline in Ex 2 on Page 43.Match each event with the time table.The students will do pair work, and the teacher will go around to give them necessary advice.A few minutes later.T: OK, now lets deal with the event one by one.Then call five students to show the correct time of the events. Teacher gives the Ss a couple of minutes to look through the whole passage. Tell the Ss to read sciently and then ask some detail questions about the text on the slide with their partners.Show the following questions on the screen.1.
